Root ICS/CM9-JB/CM10 Development Thread

By the way, I believe the camera image is oriented inn libcamera.so. If that file was not changed, should be easy to fix. If it was changed, I'll need the source.

Oh and thanks again, this is an exciting development. :)

Tried these two new files out, front cam pics are fine, rear main camera the colors are not correct. See attached pic of color wheel on my laptop. Am I the only one seeing this.

The second pic is from front camera.

How do I edit the so I did not change that one also how do I pm you?

maybe if I change that one it might be better?

You need to compile from source to change the orientation. I'll do that tomorrow. But is the back camera working with good colors?

I should have pm enabled...

I didnt use a color wheel but its better than nothing I changed two files in lib/hw but the second file is the one that fixed it so might not need the other one. I have little to no programing so dont have source

I downloaded your zip and compared. Indeed the file camera.sniper.so is the one that changes the camera function. This is also the file that is compiled from source (I was mistaken yesterday), so I need the sources to fix the orientation. Also, there is a significant color shift on the back camera. It looks like there is too much blue and the colors are washed out, just like Craptorman shows.

ShenduOS is created by chenleicpp, the same developer who has been working on the p970. He has sources on github so I can possibly look at them to see what he did.

Perhaps I will try to get this working, I don't know if it's worth it though. The colors are better to be sure. But personally, I still wouldn't take pictures that I wanted to keep (say, pictures of my kids). Long term, I will continue to try to get the kernel updated so that we can use the ICS camera blobs.

Regarding the Bluetooth MAC... I consulted the official IEEE OUI (MAC) assignments. The value I got directly from the modem (10:f9:6f:xx:xx:xx) is assigned to LGE and the value that the stock ROM shows (10:69:6f:xx:xx:xx) is unassigned. I don't know what's going on there, but it seems that there might be a bug in the stock ROM (hard to believe, I know... :p)

LOL, this isn't a race. Actually, I think Tdm is doing a good job considering what he's got to work with. Look at the bright side.... at least progress is being made. ;)

LOL, i know, i know, it was only for the new about 4.2 in the p970, thinking it may be useful. :D

Fixed timing for my mac addr binary and struggled with bluetooth all day. I think there's something wonky about the brcm_patchram_plus binary, but I haven't quite figured out what it is yet.

I finally got bluetooth to enable after many many tries. I'll try to polish this up tomorrow and get an alpha release out.

After that, I'll swing back around to the spectrum for a little kernel work and then get back to the marquee kernel to see if I can fix the graphics and cameras.

Read back a few posts. The file is camera.sniper.so and the colors are better but still not very good.

LOL, I'm just picking on ya. I know you didn't mean any harm by it. ;)

I'm looking forward to the release Tdm was talking about. I know you're ready to try it out too. :D
