ICS for us! Confirmed

Unfortunately, they don't allow you to download it across WiFi either. Not too surprised, just wonder if there's a work around.

I think there is a way to update using internet pass through connection mode, huh?
You can share a PC's internet connection with the phone, like tethering but in reverse.

I think I remember a long time ago someone claiming they updated like that.

Boy, if only something like this would happen for our Dinc2 on VZW...

...I highly doubt it on big red.

Looks like hTC's first out the gate with an Android 4.0/sense 3.6 update with this little thing here on AT&T...
They have a version of ICS ready to run on the vivid...it's starting...
Might not be too much longer now/getting closer. ;)

I am really hoping someone will release a stock version of ICS without any tweaks or MODs just so we can taste it before going crazy on modified ROMs.

They should be digging through the AT&T hTC vivid Android 4.0.3/sense 3.6 ICS update now, that some users were able to pull down by pinging the server with the checkin method now...
You know they are hard at work on it...should see something based off of that "soon".

Yes, this. Want a test drive before I buy.

Check it out...

There's a video there showing sense 3.6/Android 4.0.3 on the vivid.
I bet this is very similar to what we will see on our Dinc2 when we get the update... ;)
The ability to"disable" apps in settings natively looks like a plus! I hope this means we will be able to "disable" the bloat VZW throws in...

" Any app, be it from HTC, Google or AT&T,
can be disabled and effectively cut off from your
phone

May be a noob question, but what is the difference between 3.6 & 4.0? We never officially got 3.5 so any update is fine by me lol but what will we be missing?

What do I look for to tell the difference between 3.6 and 4.0?

hTC sense 4.0 has the landscape orientation for the homescreen & lockscreen, it also has the horizontal scrolling all apps tray.
4.0 has "guest mode" in scenes, the sense flip clock with the skinny digits.
I recognize all the wallpapers from 4.0 in the screenshots because I have them all from a system dump I DL'd.
3.6 has none of these features that I am aware of, now.
Four point 0 is said to be "lighter" of the two.

The Rezound ICS update is being reported to weigh in at a massive 640mb...
I can so see vzw getting rid of the disable feature...

Please say it ain't so...
VZW disabling the app disable feature..Nooooo!
It really sucks that carriers can decide what native features ICS can have...
