Yeah... just played with the setting and then saw this post... locked the screen and went back and they had lost light again. Will have a bit of a mess myself and see if I can't work it out!

Got it. Toggle autobrightness a couple of times until they light, then make sure autobrightness is on, turn off the screen then turn it back on again, lights should still be on, then choose either to keep autobrightness on or switch it off again and the lights remain on in either autobrightness state. In other words, you just have to switch screen off with autobrighness on (and the lights on) to fix it, then you can have whatever setting you want for autobrightness.

last time i flashed cm7 i lost my contacts and couldnt find them, will this be the same with this

Should be fine as long as you you have sync on on your Google account. Force a sync, then when you sign into Google on ICS turn sync on again and it will download your contacts again. There are some progs that will back them up if you are worried though. I use MyBackupPro.

And then it resets to lights off if you have autobrightness off and reboot your phone .

Waste of money as the free and official Facebook app will fix it for you.

GPS screwed up on the VQ ICS for me. But thanks to aGPS it was solved. Everything is very smooth. Don't notice any of the bugs at the moment. Using a market app for the camera so all is well.

Very good ROM all round.

You can find both the stable and test builds on his website here and here. The test ones tend to be scattered throughout the thread because he'll have specific requests in terms of what people need to test for him/

I think that's because google just removed that feature in ICS, right? Rather than it being a bug.

Nice... will give it a bit of a go... just getting things to how I want them first. How long you been running this one Xyro? Is it your daily ROM?

By all accounts, this is supposed to be quite good. From what I've been reading, there aren't too many issues.

That said, I have tried taking some photos and have noticed a bit of what sems like flare at the top of the screen (or left when I take pics in landscape). Not a deal braker for me, as I don't use the camera very often... gonna have to try one of the other camera apps I have, as I've only tried the stock one!

I've been using it every day for about two weeks now

And yeah, you'll notice if you take two pictures, the top left corner of picture one will be blank and the top left of picture two will actually have been replaced by the corner from picture one. Picture two will bleed onto picture three and so on. It's pretty weird. Unfortunately even using a third party app as recommended doesn't cure it 100% of the time.

I don't know to be honest, Xyro. Shonan was worried about losing his contacts if he installed this ROM, so the post was intended as a reassurance to him.

Have had it on since last night... left WIFI on while I was asleep, as usual, and have woken up to 32% battery remaining (after under 7 hours)... I am not so impressed with that. I am going to be having a look at setting things up exactly as they were on CM7 (as in the govenor/cpu settings), but will not be sticking with it if I can't get better battery life out of it!

Is it possible to use the UV scripts that I was using with Lord's kernel on CM7?

Just flash vq rc3 again with a dalvik cache + cache wipe (chances are neither will be necessary, but it's good practice). Don't forget to do a rom backup to fall back on just in case.

For the battery problem just go on recovery mode> advance and reset the battery info, it will sync the battery with the new rom (sort to say) and then you will have a better battery life.

Nope Flashing the rom .zip just copies across the OS, which is why the factory reset is usually necessary when switching roms.

Wiping battery stats won't actually make a difference to your battery level or representation so I wouldn't worry too much about it

Yeah - thanks for the heads up, but I've got Battery Calibration from the market and used to use it to do exactly as you have said (religiously) when I flashed a new ROM, but following this post, I haven't really bothered.

well i slaped it on earlier this evening coming from sense roms (which i just seem to always end up back at) i have to say i love the look and feel and am very glad that ARNIE a few posts above talked me in to it

i not sure but i thought i remembered seeing some where that you could have quick icons upton the lock screen, (like the newer sense style) but cant seem to find the info, ? ? ? ?

tried the lg camera app and seems to be hit and miss, so will just have to wait a fix, (i do use the camera quite a lot) also cant use the video camera,

Also is there a way to merge your facebook contacts with the contacts in your phone book, if i click on a contact and go to ADD CONNECTION i can only add people from google+ or is that another issue thats not yet ironed out yet.....

on a whole tho 'i love it' will see wot its like over night and next couple days on battery

I think the lockscreen options are only in virtuous right now. Or at least that was the case back when I last tried virtuous.

To join contacts go to: The people app >> Click someone >> Menu >> Edit >> Menu >> Join and then pick their other entry in your contact list.
