First, and foremost, thanks to everyone that has helped me thus far. You guys rock! Your answers, insights, and walkthroughs are friggin' BOSS!
Ok, so I have an Evo 4G. I recently flashed Amon Ra 2.3, MikG 2.61, and Aggressive Freedom. I have 2 problems with how my phone is performing...
Problem 1: I have to say that my battery life was never bad, even with the stock ROM and kernel. However, since I flashed MikG and Aggressive Freedom I have noticed that my battery life SUCKS! I get approximately 3-4hrs less time with much less use. I have the Sprint extended battery and this comes out to about 6hrs of use (I'm used to 10hrs).
I have done some things to try to mitigate this such as:
I never use Wi-Fi or 4G, but I also just got Y5 to toggle wi-fi for when I may come into contact with a wi-fi I can use.
My SetCpu is set to 998max 245min on smartass.
**I have one profile (screen off) set at 245max 245min
Problem 2: I have the sdcard that came with the phone. I used DarkTremors a2sd to move my apps and dalvik cache to the sdcard. I thought this might free up space, make the damn thing run faster, etc. I don't have that many apps anyways.
However, it seems like it may have made my phone a bit slower, or at least less smooth. I have had a couple force quits on the browser app "internet" specifically, and it seems like my apps take their sweet ass time to do what they gotta do.
With all that said... Is this unusual? Could this be kernel related, or am I just a bonehead? How/What would yall suggest I do to remedy my battery and "smoothness" problems?
Thanks for everything AndroidForum-ers!

I have done some things to try to mitigate this such as:
- turn off vibrations
- turn off GPS
- turn off "Talk" auto sign-on
- screen timeout at 1min
- screen brightness at approx. 30%
- setup power saver to turn off everything, just in case, at 15%
