Root IncrediLight - LED Flashlight App

Yah, a couple of my friends who have Incredibles don't like the big icons either... I'll doctor them up tonight... Unfortunately you do still need root. I've looked through the API guide and the even the kernel source for a while to see if I could figure out how to do this without root... no luck so far...

Just rooted today and bought the widget. Works great, thanks! I just have one criticism. The widget icon is a bit "fuzzy". I know it's kind of a stupid complaint but next to my other more crisp icons it looks a little fuzzy.

Was using gscript for this function, but having the app is nice. Thanks for the effort. Guess I'll pick up the widget soon.

I just the app. I really like it. I've been looking for a app like this that worked. I used to use my old BB Storm 2 as a flashlight at night since it had an app like this. It's great to see that one has finally been made for the Incredible. Way to go bro.

Nice! This is the first one I found that actually worked! Nice touch with the power levels. A slider bar so that you can fine tune it would be cool?

Okay.. I made the icons as little smaller for the LEDFlashlight as well as updated the IncrediLight application to try to detect if people are running it on non-supported phone.. Do they look any better?

Ok, Steven lay off the wine!! We've drifted off into the Evo forum.

What did I tell you about picking up the anchor when it's windy.

Not sure who moved this into the Evo forum, but I'm moving it back to the Incredible forum.

Any chance of a widget set to high (or configurable). Easily the best flashlight app for the incredible - this is for incredilight

That was close. I was totally ready to fend off the Evo clan though. They are a mighty force.

After I did the update today (of widget) the widget disappeared and when I pressed where it was the widget still worked. I removed and then added widget and all seems good.

So...taking into account the posts from Evo users...what LED flashlight apps are known to work well on a rooted Inc?

I wish there was an app that didn't require me to root my phone that wasn't buggy.

I really don't want to root my phone and void my warranty just for an led flashlight.

Already used it several times at work, looking under car seat, etc. Amazingly, it's brighter than the other "flashlight" app I use (the one that turns the screen all white), or maybe the camera LEDs just do a better job of projecting light. Nice app.

I eagerly await the version with 3 knives, 4 screwdrivers, and a bottle opener -- the "Increatherman" app :)

Excellent app. Thank you for taking the time to create it.

One request if possible. Could you include a setting to dim the screen when the LEDs are active? I find that the glare from the screen is irritating when navigating by LED in the dark. I realize I can try to cover the screen with my hand but it's difficult to completely block all the light.
