Root [International] siyah kernel

philz touch 4 it says :) i used it to backup calender and miscellanious files. any idea what i can use then to back up things. i use titanium back up for games x
 
Use Philz to do a full backup. It will take a while but once u do it.. no matter pretty much what you do to mess up your phone, you'll be able to fix it with that back up :)
Back it up to external sd if you have one :thumbup:
 
What kind of phone are you using, Amylee?

I think all our phone forums have an 'All things root' area where I am confident one of our fellow members will be able to give you a hand!
 
You can back up all your apps with titanium backup, just remember to never restore system (highlighted in red) apps. Your calendar, contacts etc should be backed up automatically to your Gmail account. You can double check by going into settings > Google and have a look at what is ticked to sync
 
im using samsung galaxy s3 ive rootewd it ad flashed philz touch and im wondering what to do from there...whats the best kernel to use for my phone x
 
Talk about Aptoide will maybe get deleted on here lol. I used to use markets like that a LOT until i got a virus. Its all cracked software so it can have anything in it.
As i said, i used to use cracked apps so i cant fault anyone else for doin it but android apps really are cheap when u think of the time the devs put in plus youre risking your phone :thumbup:
 
Hope i didnt come across as supporting pirated apps. I think education and making an informed choice is the way ahead with most issues in life :thumbup:

So whats the symptoms of the virus?
Anything a dodgy app can do will probably be removed by a factory reset so luckily you did a nandroid backup :)
 
so don a full wiipe will put my phone back to factory settings? will it unroot my phone and im wantin help on the right kernel to use. is the ROM the philz touch thing? the virus puts a great app icon on phone but i can remove it from the front of phone bt not the whole phone.
 
Just boot into Philz and restore the backup you made earlier to rewind time.
Doubt u have a virus tbh. Can u post a screenshot?
 
i have the nandroid back up the online one?? do i back up using cwm or twrp? i think i did one with the cwm before...so i go into philz and wipe...and what will this wipe off exactly x
 
its not there now its gone off it was like advertisment in the notification bar but i cleared it so no idea were it went x

Thats not a virus, its just an advert from an app. Next time u get it, long-press the notification and itl take u to app manager then just un-check notifications for that app or uninstall it
