How bout we call a truce. The past 20 posts between y'all have said the same thing in just a different wording. I think all parties involved understand both sides.

I didn't realize a truce was needed or even called for - I though we were simply just having a civil discussion - a debate... you know, a sharing of opinions?
This is why I haven't been back here in a while... apparently I inadvertently struck a nerve, and didn't want to repeat the mistake again. (it seems so easy to do here at AF, regardless of intent or content at times...
even when it doesn't involve people outside the discussion) Apparently there are some a tad too sensitive to debate/discussion, or other's personal opinions (even WITHOUT name-calling, or insults involved, what-so-ever... from anyone involved)...
I'll resign from commenting again if that's what it takes to keep from offending others.
One thing this forum has taught me - 'READ all you want, BUT KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT - unless you happen to be "in the click" with 'the big-dogs.'
I'm done here, but before I bow out and say "Adieu" to this forum, I'd like to express my gratitude and appreciation for all the major help and walk-through's from those that have unselfishly offered over the years - gbiggie, ShinySide, ldrifta, PG, mtmichaelson, mrpnut, nuttmeg, Mexjoker, blaxican25, Fuzzy, as well as many others - far too many to mention... AND all the Mods here that kept everything in order. As a former Moderator of 3 different forums over the last 6 years, I deeply understand and appreciate their devotion and effort to the cause. It ain't easy -at all.
I learned a lot here, and I sincerely hope that continues for others new to Android.
Thanks guys... and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Also - a very Merry Christmas to ALL of you, and God bless you and your families.
(and if that somehow offends anyone - I hope you're able to somehow get over it - it was meant in the most sincere way humanly possible)

Nerves get struck on because sadly, a known limitation of the printed text is how cumbersome it may be to convey tone. Specially on forums. So, don't you sweat the small stuff, and you better hang around.... Or else!

I agree we should take all this lightly im not sure what the whole convo was about but if there's something ive learned is dont mind the difference in opinion, we are in a huge community where thousands of people all over the world come to either learn,discuss,or teach. Lets all hold hands and sing kumbaya

Without calling names, some people contradict myself. At first they say that we are having a civil discussion and then talking about "some" members who are too sensitive about the topic. I get it, he was talking about me. I'm not offended a single bit. What can I say, I love defending my point, I know some fellas are never going to change their mind and I'm ok with that. I know why some think the way they do. I never go in saying "are you stupid or what for saying...... " because its automatically proves that thoughts on subject are done and nothing else intelligent could be added by that poster.

Well, there are a lot of comments for & against the price ot the S3. I say, you want the best you have to pay for the best. Metro has the best phone with the best UNLIMITED service. You get what you pay for. I didn't care what it cost. I saved up & got it, & very happy with it

Exactly also whoever who doesn't like please exit like I said before I spent my money on the s3 and it's fine with me I will do it all again I'm against contracts the plan that I have with metro will cost me $95 a month with tmobile so all metro haters please be more respectful we decide on how to spend our money

so am i allowed to talk about the gs3? or did the topic change too much that i will end up being out of topic in a specific topic thread? lolz so anyways these are my thoughts about the metro pcs samung galaxy s3, i did get it on oct 22 and to be quite honest i dont regret spending $565 yea i know the guy made a lil more money off me but i was not going to wait another week to get it lol and he had only 2 shipped when i bought it. anyways my reason for considering it an awesome buy is this phone has given me everything i ever wanted in a phone. I wanted control, performance,battery life,customization and for me the most important of all was a live community with development, for all you guys on the esteem or any other phones like that trust me you guys are missing out on alot. the roms we have are crazy and it dosnt even seem like its going to stop coming. the mods the tweaks the custom kernels man trust me its all there and almost every other day we got new stuff to try out. but hey if u guys just wanted a phone that's ok, you get what you paid for.

Seems you been running away from the s3 ever since it came out I thought you said it was not worth the money either way if you get one we have a rock solid community with 4 roms to choose from and many more mods coming

I got the SGS3 like a month ago and this phone works great. battery can last up to 2 days, it is little bit faster than lg connect and it runs ICS!
so far it is the best phone I ve ever had.
the only cons to me is maybe the size, kind of big and light and also maybe the voice for the S voice is kind of awkward
