This happens to me with stock messaging, but not with Chomp. I would highly suggest switching. Chomp just performs better imo.
Yes true but I personally prefer Stock over any of the 3rd party messaging apps.

Everyone has a different experience...
I do too. All the 3rd party text apps are too "busy" for my taste.
Another con for me is not having a number notification icon like the stock messaging icon.

So after being sent a troubleshooting ticket of what might be wrong with my stock messages app and proximity sensor, I get sent this other message...

What now do I do? I purchased my phone from Best Buy at the date of the release so I'm well over the return date. This is NOT a hardware issue
...
What's going on? I've already gotten it multiple times.
To all of you who are complaining to HTC,
Keep it up!!!

I was asked to do a factory reset last week and finally did it last night. Still have the proximity issue like everyone else and all other issues appear to be still there as well. I replied to their message saying if I do a factory reset and it does not fix this issues I was going to be even more upset, so I am more upset now.
Anyway, a new issue popped up after doing the factory reset. Any time an app pops the keyboard up I get keyboards that look like this (internet, messages, facebook, firefox, email). The white box at the bottom is exactly like that, I can't see half the keyboard and have to hope I hit the right keys. I noticed a similar issue when opening the custom dictionary screen. No additional keyboard apps have been installed.
Just contacted HTC support about my issues after the update. The deal breaker for me is the loss of google maps navigation, but the other things are annoying as well. I mentioned that i have cleared cache and reset to factory, but i am assuming they will want me to again. We shall see.
Hopefully all this helps them get the issues fixed for those who are having them
Navigation isnt working for some people. I've used it a few times without issues.
