[JELLYBEAN] Likes / Dislikes?

For the most part my s3 on ICS stock was perfect. If I could have skipped Jelly Bean I would. Don't like the gray notification bar, lost call auto reject option in call log. Over all not a fan. May root and go custom ROMs in the future.
 
Hi everyone, long time lurker new time poster. I've upgraded my ATT S3 to JB a few days ago and it's been a giant PITA. Keyboard is constantly slow, always a few seconds behind. My headphone buttons no longer work, my songs constantly change when I'm running and my battery life is even worse than before.

Has anyone else had the same issues and were you able to find a solution? Love my phone but I've learned a valuable lesson on being the first to install new firmware.

I've been on Telus OTA update for about 3 days now. No issues s far, in fact it is a lot smoother and definitely less buggy than my phone was before.

It was always acting up in front of my iFriends LOL

So if you haven't yet, grab it!

Took a leap of faith and grabbed it from Kies a few days ago and let me tell you you're absolutely right !I was nervous but it's great and the phone is way better than before.

I lost that when I moved to the s3 anyway. Compared to my desire, it ran in fast forward mode.

Its not really samsung's fault though as it is omgpop's

Yeah, BEJEWELED2 doesn't work w/JELLY BEAN either. WTH, it's not like it's the most graphic-intense game by any stretch of the imagination.

Using a CRAPTASTIC knock-off until something better comes along.
 
Like 3/4 tech-savvy people have had to factory reset since JB official update!
Its a disgrace man.

Being tech savvy has nothing to do with it...there is a reason that when you flash a custom ROM its recommended that you do a data wipe...
 
I don't like how I have to use the sliders or the volume rocker button to change from volume off/vibrate/volume on. Also, the call log no longer lists call duration. Don't know why they did away with that.

What country / carrier are you with? Someone else mentioned no call duration but its been in mine all along
 
My Droid Razor HD updated Thursday and I began to have problems with on/off and safe mode. The machine often will not shut down but instead reboots into safe mode...Worse, doing a power/volume control shut down also, on occasion, boots me into safe mode.

Motorola has been less than helpful about a fix...

anyway i reflashed stock rooted ICS and i'll wait for an updated version of the game

Who mentioned custom roms?
I was talkin bout an OEM pushed firmware :)
Ive never had to reset after installing official firmware through the normal mainstream ways ;)
 
Main bug ive got (even after reset) is after reboot, my phone defaults back to stock keyboard.
Anyone else?
(I use Smart Keyboard Pro btw) :thumbup:
 
Kolio, I upgraded a few days ago and I have the zoom issue as well. I notice it in the stock browser, dolphin browser and e-bay app. Is there still no fix for this? What browser can I use to avoid this? Really driving me nuts. I always scroll from the side.

Also noticed no real improvement in performance. Keyboard may be slightly slower and doesnt look as nice, and battery life seems a little less.
 
One problem I've come across, and I'm unsure if it's a ROM based problem or not, is on 4.1.2 the gallery takes an absolute age to open! With the new look its got I'm not particularly fussed just basically nit picking.
