No, they do not appear to be the same thing. I just downloaded and installed the Google Voice and my Google Talk contacts are not there.

Does the app appear, but force close when clicked? Or does it just not show up at all? (talk)

google talk isn't in this rom just strip one from a rom that had it or just flash the gapps zip in the mokee thread

I meant when he added it himself. It could be as simple as adding the libs from the apk to /system/lib
No it does not show up at all.
I even tried two of the gapps on the bottom of this link Latest Version - CyanogenMod Wiki

Iirc, Hroark couldn't get any of the official gapps to work either, he made his own... Try the one he posted. Or as kris suggested, from the mokee thread
Flashing the one from mokee thread did not work either.
I am trying to find the ones by Iirc and Hroark.

Also, did you do a factory reset after the gapps? I can never get gapps to work if i don't do it on a fresh install, or factory wipe.

1:49 phones screen turned off tried turning it back on only buttons lit u. still no boot.
deleted cache and dalvik 3x each
nothing as of 1:57 am

I GOT IT TO INSTALL! O_O
heres what i did...
i redownloaded joy os XD
with IE this time..
i used factory reset 3x
chache wiped 3x
dalvik wiped 3x
then i installed joy 3x
and then installed kato non sd-ext 3x
and i got the apple sign..
then the funny mustache was dancing for a few minutes! O_O
holy snaps! it looks nice XD

file explorer (stock) crashes when i click on the @213
(hidden files enabled)
took off volt app
taking off joy store and DSPM hope it doesnt mess anything up.
want to delete the CM appp that changes the screens color
ill delete protips and such else that i dont see that it has daily use

whats this one for?
do we need term.apk?
how about themechooser.apk?
and its cousin thememanager.apk?
(im thinking these are the ones used for when you press the menu button, right?
launcher is a bit laggy but i do like how nice everything looks. GReat job man!

note... i pulled out MY memory card.. and everything crashed..
my memory card had partitions..
but it was also the memory card i started the stuff up with..??
any ideas of what do do now?
made an Sd ext. with adb shell right from the phone..

i did i know how just cant decompile and all that mess without out my other computer and its in the shop as soon as i get it back ill have the fix and as for your market not working right install rom wait 10-15 min while market updates then reboot just market has to upgrade is all

Sweet looking app. I get lots of problems with the phone function though.
Installed no problem. i did it once and forgot to wipe dalvik, and it loaded up all my Ctmod apps, which I loved, but only the message widget popped up on the bottom of the home screen(had three blank spots) couldnt access phone at all.
wiped and installed it, lost the apps but had the phone and other widgets, but came with tons of FC. also, noticed that the signal indicator pretty much stayed with an x over it, even when I did have service (a voicemail came through with it on).

I generally don't play with iToys, but I decided to try this out because it looks really, really good. Everything looks and works fine after the flash with the exception that I have no network connection. I can make calls and receive calls just fine, but anything that requires the internet does not work, and I get a message that says that I'm not connected to any network.

Yup, you missed the instructions in the OP written in blue.
