No, they do not appear to be the same thing. I just downloaded and installed the Google Voice and my Google Talk contacts are not there.
Does the app appear, but force close when clicked? Or does it just not show up at all?
google talk isn't in this rom just strip one from a rom that had it or just flash the gapps zip in the mokee thread

No it does not show up at all.
I even tried two of the gapps on the bottom of this link Latest Version - CyanogenMod Wiki
Iirc, Hroark couldn't get any of the official gapps to work either, he made his own... Try the one he posted. Or as kris suggested, from the mokee thread
Flashing the one from mokee thread did not work either.
I am trying to find the ones by Iirc and Hroark.
Thanks

I am fairly new to this but I did the resetting 3 times without booting, then i wiped cache partition in cwm 3 times and then went directly into advanced and wiped devlik 3 times and then went directly to install the rom ... i personally didnt boot

This port over at xda seems to have solved the issue for persistent 3g.
[ROM][PORT] -- JoyOSRevamped -- 3G/Market Fixed -- 6/2/2012 - xda-developers
Perhaps we could ask them how they did it? That port is for the Sprint Evo. We shouldn't be too exotic for the solution that they have.

Yup, you missed the instructions in the OP written in blue.I generally don't play with iToys, but I decided to try this out because it looks really, really good. Everything looks and works fine after the flash with the exception that I have no network connection. I can make calls and receive calls just fine, but anything that requires the internet does not work, and I get a message that says that I'm not connected to any network.
Did I screw something up?
