Root [Kernel][GB] H426 - BDTweaks now on Google Play (06/24/13)

I switched from antutu to setcpu and have had better luck. Antutu was problematic for me. Wouldn't hold settings or would max cpu and overheat. Hope that helps.

Thanks, but I only use antutu to benchmark...I use no frills cpu to clock the cpu. I've read on older posts that overheating has been an issue with the LG Marquee even on stock, but we didn't start seeing it until I made kernel changes. She does use the FB app a lot so if that indeed causes issues, I could try freezing it. Before I mess with the almighty FB app though, I wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts/suggestions.

I was having the exact same problem on my wife's phone. I un-installed everything, ran stock settings, and it still overheated on the charger. It would require a battery pull at least every other day to recover.

No ill will towards Bloodawn. I'm sure it's the phone, but on the stock kernal, I don't have any problems. So dear wife is stuck in the land of LG's sh!tty software.

Guys, here a link to a GB test kernel for CTMOD. I'm running it and it works great. If you're running CTMOD, you may want to give it a try.

[ROM][Sprint/Boost] CTMod 3.68 (06/27/12) - Page 20 - Android Forums

Also, for those of you running Facebook, you may want to try FriendCaster out. I'm pretty sure it's a less cpu intensive app for Facebook.

I obviously need to give it more time to know for sure, but so far so good...charging now and just slightly warm, but nothing unusual. Thanks again wetbiker! :smokingsomb:

No problem. Hopefully it'll work for you. Remember you can also remove the back cover while charging it too. I've read several places where it is actually recommended.

First test with blood new GB test kernel

FYI, it's official...new kernel did the trick. Running smartassv2 and all good....;)

I dont know if you did it on purpose blood but the battery is lasting way longer than before. As for the freezing of youtube and stuff I've yet to experience it.

Blood, do you know what partition is used for swap? I partitioned my sdcard, but can't figure out where to point swapper2 to for mounting it.

Same here. No trouble at all with YouTube. I use it all the time and it works perfect.:D

While I was on MIUI and cm9 (back to ctmod lately) I ran into the green line issues a bit, but not all the time it just seemed random. I've had it lock up a few times before too but it's nothing a good reboot won't fix. Not since switching back though :)

So my wife has been running stock rooted zvc with Hyper 0.2 ever since the kernel first came out without any problems. The other day I thought I would help her out and flashed Hyper 2.2 for her, but that was a mistake. After a couple of days on 2.2 her phone froze up for the first time ever and she freaked out. I thought that I would solve the problem by taking her back to 0.2 but when I do that it breaks wifi now, although everything else works fine. Anybody have any suggestions about the wifi problem I get when flashing back to an earlier version of the kernel? Thanks.

pull wireless.ko out of the stock rom's zip and push it to /system/etc/wifi on the phone

Yep, got buttons swapped but now wifi isn't working. Wasn't expecting that.:p Will look at wireless.ko. If I can get this 1X/3G thing figured out this will be my new daily driver. Don't know why I didn't try this before.

Update, got wifi working with wireless.ko swap out.

Update 2, now 3G is working. Don't know how, just looked down at phone and there it is?? Now to get mms working. After reboot its back to 1X:(

Thanks again Blood.

GB and JB Version 3.0

The JB kernel is for CM10 and will be for MIUI 4.1, I don't know if it works with AOKP
The GB kernel is the exact same one that comes with CT3.75 so if your on that rom don't worry about upgrading.

Removed XZ support since it wasn't fully working
Removed GPU Overclock for better stability
Removed CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_VDD_LEVELS for now
Increased CPU voltage so Smartreflex can control it better
zRam enabled by default
SD Read Cache set to 2048
cleaned CPU code
Cleaned the defconfig file
Cleaned and fixed some stuff in the ramdisk
Disabled the original Ondemand, Interactive and Smartass
Switched default gov to OndemandX
Probably some other stuff I've done and forgot over the past few months

Does this include the fix for the capacitive buttons?

I'll test it out on aokp

@Bloodawn

New kernel is working great with aokp. Capactive issue fixed and very smooth. Having no lag issues whatsoever.

Nice work
