Root [Kernel] Imoseyon LeanKernel 3.7.0

then you will be given the option to UV by 25, 50, 75, or 100 across the board. you don't have to do it for each slot individually.

Individual tuning works much better, though. In particular, you need to undervolt the lowest and highest clock speed as much as possible since these are where things sit most of the time.

I am testing 3.6.0 with DT's ramdisk stuff right now. Just wiped stats this morning. So far so good, but you really cannot tell until you have been through a cycle.

My life on .8 has been great, as I've stated many times. With light to normal use I have no problems getting 25-30 hours on one charge (90% of the time on WiFi, no LTE, GPS only when needed)

This will be the first time I have tried one of Imo's kernels, in order to use the script he says to not use SetCPU. Can I just deny root access via SuperUser to accomplish this or do I have to uninstall SetCPU?

I would just uninstall it. You're not going to be using it at all once you use the speedtweak.sh script

Black 2.1 + imo 3.5.8 have equaled best of everything for me. About 13-21 hours on a battery compared to 8-15 before, plus unparalleled performance.

What are your settings? Reason I'm asking is because I like to OC when plugged in and stock when not. UV 50 works for me too. How would you do that without setcpu?

I don't believe you can set profiles like that. You can OV certain speeds, though. If your phone is idling while plugged in you can OV the idle voltage which would be the same thing I suppose. I UV 245, 368 and 1.2 which are the 3 voltages my phone use the most

I just got 3.5.8 installed and was curious what you did. Do you think setcpu is .. well not harmful.. but detrimental to smoothness and batt life? I'm running interactiveX in normal mode, I think it's 1.4, with a global -50UV. So you change the 1.4 to 1.2 in performance profiles of CM7? I could certainly live with that if so. I would miss my battery throttle profile of >temp and <power left but so be it.

Edit: how do you just drop individual freq for UV? i.e. which program, incredicontrol or manual?

I use incredicontrol.

I use incredicontrol.
Yeah that seems to be easiest. I wonder what the harm would be in dropping voltages across the board though? I mean why limit it to 3 voltages? But one thing Worm, this .8 kernel is looking pretty good so far.

Yeah the .8 kernel is back on my phone yet again. I would think you could drop the voltage across the boards then check for stability, then tweak if needed.

I think I am going back to 3.5.8 or jdeclipse. Battery is pretty bad on 3.6.0 so far. Even though I am just calibrating, it is the worst I have experienced.

I got pretty good results with eclipse, too. Gonna have to think about it.

Edit: nero just through up a test version of his 2.9 on XDA. Hmmm, I liked his kernel before...it is based on Imo with some tweaks and features like call recording (which is useful to me).

Yeah I found idle battery life was really good with 3.6.0 but actual use was horrible. I got the your battery is about to die warning last night around 2:00 and I never see that warning I am usually asleep before the battery gets that low.

It is very non-linear. For example, on my phone, 254 MHz and 368 MHz can use 750 mV, but 768 needs to be at 875 mV, then 1024 MHz needs to be at about 1025 mV. So unless the built-in voltages have exactly those offsets, I will be leaving some performance on the table. From what I have seen, the devs are pretty conservative with the lower frequencies, which makes sense since a few sleep deaths will turn people off the kernel. The problem is that the lowest frequency is the one with the most bang for the buck. Mine is lowered over 200 mV from the original setting, so if I just bumped down 50 or 75 mV I would be no where near where I could be.

Worm was suggesting to hit the high percentage clock speeds since that is where the bang for the buck is.

Anyone have a mirror for 3.5.8 with audio fix? I found one link but it was the OP for the audio fix and marked WIP still, so I'm a bit hesitant to use that version.

I do it manually in the init.d folder for both of your questions. I do think setCPU is counter productive when using speedtweak

What, no link? :D

I just loaded another rom and flashed .8. I UV -50 with speedtweak, set it at 1222 across the board and will build some cache before I judge. But might it not be a good idea to initiate a thread with UV for popular slots? I would love to see what people are running and with what results.
Right now mine are:
245 - 950
368 - 1000
768 - 1050
1024- 1100
1222 - 1150
1400 - 1250 (never go that high)

I think I might drop all of those about 50 and see what happens. Thoughts?

You should be able to--my voltages are a lot lower than that. My 245 is 750!
