Root [Kernel] MARQUEE UNLEASHED 3D performance booster v3.2.1 (7/18/12)

I happen to see that same exact error when I try to alter a zip file. Either from deleting a file or editing the install script causes it. So in this case I would think that either it did not download correctly for you or the the zip wasn't compiled correctly or was built with missing files or a bad install script.

Hey when I try flashing the 1300Mhz v3.2 I get this message:

E:Error in /sdcardMarqueeUnleashed_1300Mhz_v3_2.zip
(Status 6)
Installation aborted.

however the 1200Mhz version flashed just fine... Confused, to say the least. Perhaps the file isn't set to run right since the update?

Repackaged and edited the 1300MHz version. Try it now.

1300MHz benchmarks please! I'm almost up to 3000, even with my crappy SD card.

Will someone send me a link to the screenshot app. I couldn't screenshot the results. I got 2954 but that's because of my crap 2gb SD card that came with the phone.

Updated kernel to 3.2.1. Great work!
And I'm still using stock rom. Waiting for CTmod BT update.

So the v1.5 1.3ghz undervolted working stably? Cool. If i have some time I'll crank out a 1.4ghz though I doubt it will be stable

Well I've been cranking it out with the 1.3 and no adverse effects. I figured with such a stable and cool over clock at 1.3 we should be able to get to 1.4.

Thanks for the heads up on the screenshot.

When I posted the screenshot I was using tapatalk so I uploaded it the only way I could. Didn't know it showed up different for you, it shows up fine for me.

Just got this Marquee off eBay. Came from a Photon, which I didn't care too much for. I was VERY unhappy with this phone at first, but after installing CTMod with this kernel.. HOLY CRAP! Awesome work guys. It's like a brand new phone. Love the NOVA display and finally getting performance. Nice job.

Holy cow! I've been away for a while- too long, apparently!
One of the blogs I write for sent me an LG Optimus Elite to review, and I was about to come on here and complain about how smooth it is compared to the Marquee unplugged (yet, plugged in the Marquee performs just fine!). I had a whole call-to-arms tirade planned, saying how LG did something terrible to keep the marquee from reaching the potential we've seen it has, and how we MUST get to the bottom of this already.

Good thing I found this thread and started reading before posting!

This is AMAZING news! So, have we determined why the GPU was so poor when unplugged? Was it a deliberate governor, or some sort of bug? I've never seen any other LG phones that behave like this, so I'm kind of baffled!

I may have read the thread too hastily in my excitement- but it appears this kernel fixes the GPU thing AND overclocks?
Sounds cool- as long as the overclocking bit doesn't negatively affect stability and/or battery life.
I know that they usually do by nature, but that's the price you pay for peak performance. Personally, I'm more interested in fixing the performance problem (that technically shouldn't effect battery life or stability on its own, and just let the thing work as it should have) than burning rubber, pushing it to the limits and possibly introducing new down sides.
So, is my best choice the latest 1.3 kernel with SetCPU throttling it back to the original 1.0Ghz?

I know right? :p
Your best bet would probably be PMing imfm and requesting one of his stock kernels. They are stock kernels (300,600,800,1000) with the performance boost.

For what it's worth, I run the 1.2GHz with it throttled back to 800 most of the time. Battery life is not an issue at all for me.

I run the 1.3ghz version and don't notice a dramatic enough change in battery for me to switch back to stock. On the rare occasion where I am concerned with the battery life I can turn the Max speed down to 1ghz and be just fine.

On a side note the stability of this overclock is amazing. No problems what so ever and I have been running this thing wide open for over 2 days now. Couldn't have done a better kernel myself.

I agree, I've been running the 1.2GHz OCK on performance setting in Set CPU with it governed at 800MHz-1200MHz without any stability issues since it was released. Great Work!

Wow- so wait, I thought I heard folks saying the new 1.3 is the stable one, now I'm seeing you guys say the 1.2- Thanks for the heads up on PMing for stock (is there any reason not to share that one publicly, btw?).

If the OC ones throttled down are the same thing as far as battery life and stability, I wouldn't mind having the option I guess. But which one! ;)

There are a few running the 1.3, and some running 1.2. Both versions are stable as far as I know.

Stock ones probably aren't listed because there's no real need for them, since you can throttle the OCed ones down. I think those were originally made because a few people were having troubles getting the OCed ones to work. Pretty sure this has been addressed.

As for which one..it all comes down to preference. I stick with the 1.2 because it's fast enough for me. Even throttled down to 800 like I mentioned earlier still has smooth transitions and speed.

thanks for recompiling 3.2.1 it's running very stable, and is posting good benchmarks.

I say run 1.3 first. If you feel its too fast for you (highly unlikely, lol) or that the battery life is too low (again, highly unlikely) you can always clock down to 1ghz. I just wish the 1.3 kernel allowed you to clock down to 1.2 this way you could go down to 1.2 if you so desired instead of 1 or flashing the 1.2 kernel again.

As a little added protection (although I haven't had to use it) I leave the 1.3 and the 1.2 kernel .zip files on my SD card, should I ever want to downgrade. I mean the files are so small it isn't even a bother to me at all, and I'm usually very conscious about unnecessary files being on my SD.

The PM is just because there's no more space in my account, and they aren't popular enough to go through the trouble of making an account on an upload site. The OC kernels seems to be working great now, so the stock one are just for the two or three people who are still reporting problems
