Root [KERNEL][MS770][LOKI] Freedom Kernel Overclocked

Im new to root on LG motion, I've had root on every other android ive owned, but never dealt with a locked bootloader, and it seems to be a serious game changer. Ive got quite a few questions. First, at the present time, I dont really want to flash another rom, just mod/tweak stock after root & debloat. WHAT IS loki? lol I am running version F, ive determined that, but I have no clue what loki is... Can I flash this kernal? And since I'm not uising a custom rom, I imagine I should download busybox & a cpu manager, correct?

ANY and ALL info is greatly appreciated!

LG Spirit | LG Motion | LG Esteem | Android | Smart Phones | Metro PCS: So what is Loki patch and how it's related with our LG phones?

I think the focus has been on overclocking. I think GT did a great job at squeezing as much out of the cpu as possible. I think we need a more universal kernel if that's possible. Just wish I really knew what I was doing with that and had the proper equipment...

Saw this and it got me thinking about the universal kernel thing. What if johnny n GT made a flashable that installed the f aboot and then installs then on 1.62 kernel(works on all motons)

If I'm on BobZ's 5-21 I can flash this and then johnny's aboot from firmware f right?

you can flash my aboot from any firmware. c,d,e or f and a lokied kernel and you will be golden ;)

edit: something to remember, if your using bobz rom and you reflash it for some reason, it flashes stock f kernel so you would have to reflash the kernel.
if your using hk's cm alpha it flashes d aboot.img and stock c kernel so if you reflashed that rom you would have to reflash the kernel and the f aboot.

When you restore a backup, does it restore the kernel and aboot of said backup?
Well I know for sure that cwm recovery will backup whatever kernel you're using and restore it. As far as the aboot, taking a guess I would say not, but I'm not sure. Shabby may be able to give you a more definitive answer about the aboot.

Just for the record. I restored to C, did what I had to do, then restored back to CM10 with Freedom Kernel... Long story short, when I got back to CM10, I had to reflash the kernel as it was no longer on my phone. Just rebooted back into recovery, flashed the kernel again, then the aboot.

Not sure why that happened, but it did :P

How do i know if my motion can flash the 1.674GHZ kernel?
You would have to flash it and try it. If it boots up and runs fine then you're good to go. If it doesn't then go back into recovery and flash the 1.62ghz version. This would be the only way to know. If you just want to play it safe, you can stick with 1.62ghz.

I flashed the 1.62mhz kernel the other day. I set it to the highest for a couple hours, and then set it down to 1.512 just 'cause. I like to know that I have it avail of I want/need it, but the stock speed was just fine for me. I'm still running stock ROM.
