Root [Kernel]OptimusM OC stock 2.2.1

Yeah i'm pretty sure its the same source we've been building from anyway. The only thing they could have changed was the .config file. Some seem to think since 2.2.2 was released there was a kernel update as well.

still new to flashing roms and Kernels etc... I am running stock 2.2.1 rooted so if something goes wrong i dont have the stock ROM to flash back to, once the r.O.C.K Kernel is flashed.. I do have a current nandbackup tho, can I then Use a nand backup to restore completely as is? or do i need the stock 2.2.1 ROM to reflash if i get stuck in bootloops? also wondering if the wireless headset problem and the audio controls were fixed but not mentioned? you may not have run into that particular problem but I use my wired headset with my phone so just want to cover my bases before I substitute more speed for my headset which i use on a daily basis. sorry for all the questions.. my OM is my only phone so dont want to kill it, its taken me 2 months to work up the nerve to even root the phone then another month to use QPST to revert a prl to 3025. thx in advance for all the work you have done to make our phones faster.

rOCkernel idea shizit been at 740 whatever for like a week now not the first crash. my only issue been the wired headset mic and audio controls
Are you still having issues with the wired headset mic and or anything else that is not working with this kernel? I'm considering flashing this kernel but I don't want to do it if it makes my wired headset not work. Can get a reply from Reppard so I was hoping you might have some info. Thanks in advance

Those work if you're using BobZhome CyanogenMod, I don't think it's a kernel issue

Thanks for the Reply Sammyz, hmmm..im using stock 2.2.1 and didnt want to use a custom Rom, outside the wired headset mic not working, do you think i will have any problems installing this on stock 2.2.1? Thanks again

cool..flashed the Kernel and worked up to 806..ran stress test for about 5 minutes then it quit the stress test so i started it again and it rebooted after a couple minutes...tried again rebooted and now running stress test steady for 10 mins or more on 787...
Still running, not bad for a stock ROM? wonder what id get with custom rom.

Ran stress test just fine at 787 for hours.. everything works great but at 787 the camera doesnt work and caused a reboot so my steady is 767 looks like, alot better than 600 so thanks again.

Sounds like one of my Optimus'. Camera reboots the phone but runs most everything fine on 787. But will also run at 806 and 825 at some times. But I keep it 768 or below and use profiles. I get similar results over some diff roms but currently using Kelsos "stockish" rom with 2.2.1 kernel. Everything is good, 768 or below for camera.

My other OM, only runs stable at 748 max. On any ROM.

This kernel is mainly for the stock 2.2.1 but can also be used for stock 2.2.2
I suggest to not flash another kernel onto another ROM because this is not needed most of the time...

thanks alot man for this Awesome overclockable Kernel.. this kernel i replaced my stock 2.2.1 kernel with Months ago and it works Flawlessly..and i mean flawless.. running at 768 with no hiccups whatsoever...it will run my OM at 806 but i get reboots here and there and rarely at all with 787, so my safe spot is 768.. Everything works and I still get great battery life..
