Root [Kernel][Osiris][JB] Serenity kernel 3.4 OC

yup i might be right but in my phone was getting worst to the point 100 mb free and now running stock rom hardly go down from 230 mb free so im not sure why but stay on stock rom until cm10 release

make sure you clear your recent apps list from time to time. when you swipe apps away ics kills them and frees up the ram and in turn helps with battery. i dont know what everyone's talking about, when you manage things properly the battery isnt all that bad.

depends on what your using, have you ever tried using wifi tethering while on battery alone, and the screen turned on? give it 20 minutes from a full charge and itll be dieing on you

ah, ok so did you have set cpu installed before you installed the kernel? because if so it probably cached the defaults set originally by the stock kernel. if that wasnt the case then i dunno maybe those are the issues that dtm was talking about
once the non stock kernel is installed the stock one isnt there anymore, end of story, it has been over written, so you couldnt have still had it, it had to have had something to do with the cache

you were right it was the cache!

there we go, well that problem is solved. make sure you clear your cache after installing people. and its best to just wait till after you have the OC kernel to install the OC software that way you avoid that issue altogether. but either way if you clear your cache you should be good to go. now hopefully, we can get a good solid cm distro to go along with this kernel and we will be in business

not sure...but i know this kernel has been suspended bc it has a severe memory leak and phone doesnt run real smooth

its based off of the original b07 kernel which had a memory leak, they never released their patched kernel and no one ever dug in deep enough to find it other than them. as far as usb host support i couldnt tell you, i dont think they built it in but it may have been built in from the start. i know how to find out though...

try it, if it works it does, if it doesnt, it doesnt

Like I said before, I won't be doing any updates til zte releases a proper source, and being that I do not have the phone I may never get back to it. The source is on my github if anyone wants to fix it.

yep, and zte will probably never release a proper source. sorry people dont blame us blame them for not following the gpl

Not to my knowledge yet. Dm47021 is possibly working on an OC for the new source, atleast he hinted at it in further posts. Iv got the source myself and may work on it eventually but have other things going right now

He could be, neither of us have a sequent, so its slow going to make a decent kernel.

Indeed its hard to develop something without the crucial part of the recipe (the phone to test it on)

If he could add in OTG support that would be stellar ;)

i already told him, OC up to 1.9 ghz, a few governors, swap/zram support and anything else he knows thats good. said hes gonna be busy this and next week but he already got all the needed files from me and he'll start working on it soon. once he has a build for me to test i'll let him to know add the OTG support as well.
