Root [KERNEL] Plague Overclock Kernel for LG Esteem MS910 - UPDATED!

Just remember you are ultimately responsible for your phone. No one else.

^+1

Just as a warning to whoever wants to test: Even though we have not had a test phone brick in over a week there is always that possibility.

If you want to test do so at your own risk.

Installed. Running @ 1.5 for now. Everything is snappy. Makes 4g seem faster because now the phone is much faster. Netflix loaded up right away and YouTube videos buffer fast. Great work.

How exactly did you apply the new kernel to overclock? The program above?

Flash clockwork or the rz recovery, reboot into recovery flash the kernel then once rebooted download an overclock app such as CPU master (free) or setcpu and then you can over clock it to a speed up to 1.7

Thanks a lot! Works great n much faster. but at 1700MHz my phone would reboot when I try to play pocket legends. no big deal though lowering of to 1500MHz n it wasn't rebooting no more.

just installed the kernel. I am using SetCpu. I currently have it at 1708 max and 1708 min. is this how i am supposed to have it? lol i dont want to mess up my phone. I'm new at this, idk the tech behind any of this, basically read what you guys post

No you dont want the min and max both set at 1.7. put the min at 245 or low like that. The cpu needs a breather now and again ;)

As soon as I get mines fix is anyone in the Tampa area so that they can do all of this rooting kernel etc I was rooted but lost it when I updated

For my esteem to be completey stable I need to eave it at 1.6, everything works fine at 1.7 except I get reboots when I connect my bluetooth or when I make a call

Running smooth @ 1.7. Got a 3500 benchmark too in quadrant.. now what can I do with all this speed?? :D

Edit... camera and gallery are faster than ever...no more blurry photos!
