Do it as soon as you can, then customise your apps as you need. You won't like or need the stock rom, so no point in learning it, putting all your apps on then upgrading, best to flash beforehand and then learn it.

Read the tips page first tho SuperPad2 Flytouch3 Tim Rom Tips

No need to backup if it is new, and there are stock roms out there if you need to revert to how you first got it.

Can I Install this this new tim version on this tablet ? will this version reinstall flash 10 you tube.

I want to install because

Every thing was ok ith this version from youtube to angry birds. But i accidentally pressed the reset button and i lost the my installed apps flash is gone too i believe as i cant paly you tube and angry birds.

Is there is any way to reset to factory defaults ?

Please guide the best solution as iam ia newbie

Yes, you can install tim6a. Doing a factory reset will not restore software, it only wipes the personal data items off the tablet - it does not restore anything.

You can install a factory rom to put it back to how it was, but imo you would be better installing tim6a and starting over with a better faster rom, then adding the youtube app and angry birds app as necessary.
 
hi i am new on here and not sure if this is in the correct place or not.. sorry
i have a flytouch 3 (superpad 3) with a huawei e1750 dongle and a vodafone 3g sim i have download tim 6a and have now go 3g sign when i plug in my dongle i get flashing 3g arrows and eventually stop and the blue flashin light on my dongle stops.. i understand this to be connected but the browser will not connect i open it and it as if no connection..what am i doing wrong... also the 3g on off when i switch off it comes up with force close and will not close until i push the main off button please help guys
 
Thanks to all for advice - Managed to update to Tim's 6A and slowly learning my way round my tablet. On some of the sites it will not allow me to download as it says I do not have an android phone. (That's true I do not!)

How do I register with these sites to allow me to download free apps for my tablet. After my flashing the rom it sees Dolphin HD browser but says not available. Cannot download for market as no phone account registered.

Am I doing something wrong here? Doh!!!!

Nope, it is how it is, you have to find *cough* alternate ways to get the apps onto your tablet.

Google the app name and stick apk in the search and you should find what you need most of the time (the markets are getting to be more & more protected in who & what they distribute to).

There is quandary here, and there is no perfect solution, but the tablet makers do not pay google for the licence to run google app market, so in effect you are already running a "warez" version of something. Google will therefore restrict what it can to those that do not pay. So one of the best places to get apps from is doing something similar in return - so google droidappz and see if what they offer suits you more, their app is a paid for app for $5 per month, but it is 100 times better than nothing.

Sorry but 'Dream on'......it wont get enough signal. You must remember that these are CHEAP.. they don't use the latest sensitive gps chipsets or the latest wifi modules...

They do work with the external active antennas... mainly due to the fact that the antenna is mounted away from the noise of the tablet and quite possibly in the open on the roof of your car.....

Clearing the A-GPS data can be done if you like... it only needs doing once though, and even then only if you do not have an internet connection. As soon as you do have an internet connection it *should* update your A-GPS info to help the GPS chipset get a fix....but it is not essential to have the A-GPS data correct for your location... the gps chipset *should* get your location eventually. If it doesn't you most probably have a problem with the antenna wiring inside the tablet or a faulty antenna/chipset.

Sorry for my english... but i have a question. I will buy about 10 Flyotouch3 for a work-project but i MUST connect a Bluetooth-dongle.

I tried to connect the dongle to the device, but none of them has been recognized by the system. Is there a way to be able to have Bluetooth on your tablet?

My F3 has version 2.2.20110503, kernel 2.6.32.9 and build FRF85B.

Bluetooth does not work on a Flytouch3, at least not yet. There is little or no work being done to get it to work because there are later tablets out there that are attracting all the development work.

I suggest you buy a different tablet if you need bluetooth.

With that said I have been searching the Forums all night about customizing a FLYtouch3/SuperPad3 etc... But nothing tells me if it's worth upgrading. I did find one link that had the different reason to use Tim's latest ROM; however I don't seem to have the same issues others complain about. I am running a (I believe) SuperPad3 with

I have rooted the device with Z4root and have launcher pro installed to allow USB debugging. Is there any firmware newer than what I have that my device will support, if so is it worth the upgrade for me? I have seen a lot of FunnyComb post and I don't want that as I've heard nothing but bad reviews and information relating to those ROMs. I am scared to brick my device and I will be purchasing a new SD card as soon as I figure out which is the best. (I bought this device to learn on) Thanks in advance!!

First the current Funnycomb won't work for you.
Second, whoever is telling you bad things about the ROM probably doesn't know their a** from a Tulip or has some ax to grind. There is nothing wrong with that rom.

Tim's 6a will work with your pad as it has the different WiFi setup yours needs.

If you are happy with a rooted stock ROM stick with it. There is no law that says you have to go with a ROM that will make your pad perform better and have less problems. :D

The process of re-flashing firmware involves totally erasing everything from the system partition...all your installed apps and your gmail settings will have been erased. You will have to re-enter the gmail account settings. When you have done that, if it errors then you will have to erase the google services framework data. Go to menu/settings/manage applications/all/google services framework/clear data. Then reboot the tablet and then try to log onto your gmail account again. If it still errors try logging on again, it sometimes takes several attempts but it should eventually log on.
 
I Updated My New Flytouch 3 To Tims 6a and Now I Lost My E-Reader App and My Dolphin Browser? Can Anyone Help Me? Everthing Else Is Great!! Thanks Tommylimo.:(
 
I'm not sure if you got your answer yet or not, but I had the same problem. The way I fixed is was to "FORMAT" my sd card not just delete all the files, that won't work. You must format the card then install the firmware. I used SDFormatter.

I'm trying to update my current firmware to this one but when i put the tf card in the tablet with the two files it just boots normally, it doesn't flash like it says. I formatted the card 3 or 4 times and still the same thing, is there any other way to do this besides the automatic?

What is your tablets model number, and which firmware are you trying to re-flash?
