not likely...the .602 build from Team Black Hat is odexed...those mods require your ROM to be deodexed...it IS possible to mod theme an odexed ROM...but from what i understand not too many people do it...

so basically what youre going to need...is for Bouchigo (or one of the other local guys that knows how to do it) to create a deodexer zip for .602...then the mods can be updated to work with .602

I already did, about 5 days ago I think. It's on the second page of the .602 thread. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT:
I found it (post #81) --> http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...w-official-gingerbread-4-5-602-droid-x-2.html

Which really defeats the purpose of upgrading lol

Not really. You are assuming there are significant mods to the framework which may not be the case. Never the less the only real upgrade of significance is the radio. So I can have it how I want it and still have the new radio. ;)

yes really...you're still swapping out the entire .602 framework for the .596...

Again, how do you know the framework for .596 is that different than the framework in .602? Other than stating the fact that it reverts to the .596 framework can you PROVE that it really makes all that much difference?

Either way I politely pointed out that regardless of framework the most significant upgrade in .602 is the radio and is purpose enough to warrant the upgrade whether you think so or not. In fact many people are installing the new radio regardless of any other consideration.

youre completely missing the point...its just common sense to not flash mods from previous firmware versions...there is no reason to revert your entire framework to a previous version just because it works...

i don't care what the changes are and how minor you may think they are...its just dumb to do it...

it SHOULD be common knowledge to not downgrade your phone...how about you ask one of the nice guys around here that know what their doing to throw together a zip for you with the mods you want??...

i dont think anyone who knows what they are talking about would ever suggest its a good idea to revert your framework to a previous version...its just that simple...

It also becomes an issue where people who see posts like yours think its ok to do all the time...and while the framework differences between .596 and .602 may be minimal that doesn't mean future updates are the same way...i dont care if the framework is identical...its just not good practice to do things that way

i would never suggest to anyone that they should flash a mod from previous versions simply because while even if you don't notice any ill effects that doesn't mean you're not causing an issue under the hood...

I know the thread is locked but I wanted to leave it like this:

Make a backup of your ROM before making any significant changes to your devices. THAT is always a good idea.

Aside from that, there isn't much you can't recover your device from. Changes to your framework that don't play nicely may result in boot loops or other negative performance issues. That is why we make backups.

Bottom line, it's your device and if you want to modify it...go nuts! Just make a good backup first! ;)
