I'm from Delaware, but for whomever made this poll, Delaware is not a Southern State. Delaware is a Mid-Atlantic State.
Actually those are ONLY used for the U.S Cencus. Regionally, they are wrong.
Delaware and Maryland are DEFINITELY Mid-Atlantic States.
Teachers are often wrong. Delaware is not, nor has it ever been a Southern State.
Culturally, you're correct. Per the U.S. Census, you're wrong.

Lets please refrain from turning this thread into a debate whether or not a state belongs in one category or another. There are several different ways to categorize one state or another depending on the source you get it from. That also goes for countries all over the world.
I created this poll and had a difficult time deciding on how I wanted to categorize the U.S. states. I knew that I had a limited amount of poll space (28 total), so I used a categorization that were able to include a large number of states into one. I felt that the U.S. Census Bureau had an official classification that worked well with what I was looking for and decided to use that as my base. I included The Southwest because growing up in SoCal, I was well aware of that category and there's even a cuisine named after it.

That's OK. I didn't know what the Midwest was until I saw Kycats' post. And I used to live there once. Mind you it was only for less than a year and I was 3 at the time.
That's why you have to use specific places on Mars like Cyndonia, Chryse or Vallis Marinaris.

I just had to look up how much 50 rands was, I guess its about $6. But if your like me, that $6 wasn't hard earned.
