I wish whoever came up with putting a Qhd display on this got stranded on a mountain until the bill of material was finalized for the G3

Would battery life be better with 1080p? Of course. But i believe that LG felt they needed something to promote. Otherwise its just a G2 with a removable back.
I get a new phone every year (if not two), so I'm looking forward to trying it. If it really is omg awful I have 14 days to decide. So far the only three things I see listed that are slight turn offs. Are text halo and battery isn't as good as some others and possible heat
Text halo might be a pain in the ass, but since its software I'm sure it can be fixed.
Battery? I am not a eskimo fur trapper. So I have electricity everywhere I go. benefits of living in a first world country and having an office job i guess. For trips, camping hiking I usually put my sim in a beater phone, or am smart enough to carry extra batterys, power block.
Heat and throttle issue, will have to test to see how aggressive it is on the G3. But LG has put this on most of thier phones. Not sure why its a big deal now. If you hate it, its easy to turn off.
Either way I'm not going to let youtubers decide if I like a device. I'll give it a shot and if I hate it I'll take it back.
Don't care for the holy snapdragon 805 savior everyone is gushing over either. GPU is a bit better, buts its still a half step. I'm looking for something that will be fun to use until the snapdragon 810 hits.

I total agree. Plus, it's not a BAD battery, just slightly off the class leaders. It's not just more pixels, but a larger screen overall, and that factors in. There may even be killer future apps that require qhd.
The G3 weakness in battery to me is no greater than the bezel and height of the m8, plus sealed in battery.

Hmm, its still on the radar for me. I'm trying to play this forward one year. Is this the one to get me there? Do I wait for an update on the prime? What about the PriM8? So many questions right now. Interesting times in the mobile world IMO.

Yeppers. I've seen every review on YouTube, read all the reviews on 3 or 4 forums. Hey nothing better to do.
But I'm stubborn when it comes to things like top end phones. I just never let reviews talk me out of trying something.
Had s3, s4, s5, note 3, g2, gflex, and m8.
Out of all those the note 3 was my favorite. I just really didn't use the stylus much. So I'm hoping the g3 gives me roughly the same experience, but in a better form factor.
My only regret is that I sold it to try the m8 which I took back to try the s5 which I also took back.
Now I'm using my crappy s3, which is a large step backwards. At least it has cm (God I hate TouchWiz).

I'm betting Sammy prime is Korea or Asia only. HTC prime canceled. I'm modestly interested in the moto X2, but nothing I've heard so far is turning me from the G3.

M8- really was a nice phone. But I really missed qi charging more than I thought I would. And the camera was horrible. maybe mine was worse than normal, but I had purple fringe all over the place. And god forbid you wanted to print any pictures for people. Guess it would have been ok if all you did was post selfies or pictures of food on instagram.
Also i know the bezels are huge because of the boomsound. But as an adult I actualy don't assume the whole world wants to listen to my music. so in my car I use bluetooth, in public I have headphones. so the bezels for me weren't worth the trade off in phone to screen size.
S5 - I hate touchwiz (but that can be fixed). What couldn't be fixed was the way the phone felt. It really did feel cheep, and sadly you notice that everytime you use it. In the S5 favor it took great pictures, was very quick with touchwiz removed, and waterproof is nice (never tested it though). In the end it was the cheep feel of the phone and only having 16GB that killed it for me.
BTW, if I had to choose between those. I'd take the M8 over the S5 everyday.

1) Will AT&T get the 3/32 model?
2) What's the approx release date for AT&T?

1) OK. from the one unboxing of an AT&T G3, and a person who has one. it appears it will be the 3/32 model.
2) AT&T has not released a date yet. However a person with AT&T posted an internal mail saying that will have a class on the LGG3 tomorrow, and to make sure they have stock for a 7/11 release.
I'm a little skepticle on the 7/11 release. But knowing that AT&T usually gets LG phones in the US first... ( I am hopeful)

Where does the G-FLEX rank w/you among these phones?
I've had all of 'em except the S4/S5 & the FLEX comes in a close 2nd for myself,w/the N3 right on its tail.

The Flex was an odd one. But I really liked it. Was really cool to get the strange looks when you used it too. I'd rate it and the note 3 about even honestly with the Flex being more comfortable to use. Kind of wish I had kept that one for the phone collection.
Oh to answer the question. M8 first, N3 and (gFlex) would kind of tie for second. S5 and then G2. (s5 beats the G2 only for the removable back).
