I don't know. I'm also unconcerned about battery. I CAN say that my personal M7 gets BLAZING hot when under heavy use, like games or navigation, and my work S4 gets very hot when under heavy use and charging, to the point it stops charging to cool down frequently. They M7 never stops charging, probably the superior thermal exchange of the metal, but it feels like you can fry an egg. I think most phones get hot, and while the extra real estate and pixels will add some to that, I just can't believe it will be to a magnitude of a deal breaker.
That said, I've been wrong before once or twice.
One point though is if on Verizon, reports of M8 weaker signal compared to other devices like the S4, S5 and iPhone could be a concern. Especially since the S4 and S5 are not signal champions themselves. S5 is better than my S4 though. Not sure why the M8 appears to have weaker signal, but other carriers not seeing much issues reported. Opposite appears more the case for the others.
I'm assuming Best Buy will Price match those prices so we can do the loophole.
it was a JOKE! (geez)
Why not, not time for an upgrade or trying to preserve UDP? There are ways to do the latter and get a subsidized phone.
If the US versions perform as well (follow the link within that link for the updated review of the UK model), this looks like a really solid win for a lot of owners, and a win not only for LG but also Android.
I'm sure some are worn out by reviews so here's my review of the review -
It's glowing but seems fair and balanced without throwing rocks to sound objective.
It's low on tech and high on the basic user (not dummy user) point of view.
I wish more phone reviews were like that one. Tell me what you think personally and why in a way that invites me to check it out for myself.
Do I agree or believe everything said?
I never do!
But this time I didn't feel like I needed a shower after a dirty sales pitch.
And now I want to check one out just for fun, whereas the other write-ups burned me out.
Thanks Steven, good catch!
So with the $99 on contract price I'm strongly considering just going for the pre-order. I won't go Samsung, and M8 is out due to signal strength not adequate for my situation. I have to order online to take advantage of the unlimited upgrade loophole anyways.
Which food bowl is that?. Is that where you transfer an upgrade to another phone?
Others are getting shipping notifications from tmo. Where the hell is mine? :banghead:
Haven't had the phone long enough to draw any conclusion. And it may be pixie dust. But I freaking love this thing so far.
Only tiny lag I ever see is opening recent apps. I think it takes just a to draw all the screens. But it's barely noticeable, like a micro stutter.
All in all I'm really pleased thus far. Now just have to see how the battery life shakes out.
I think you ordered before I did, but, who knows how they queue the shipping.
I used next-day shipping & earlier today received the tracking # from UPS.
Took a few hours for T-Mobile's site to "sync-up" w/that in
My apologies if I got some hopes up that everyone can expect to see their shipment arrive earlier than scheduled.
I'll post an update once the shipping actually starts,in the T-Mobile G3 thread:
http://androidforums.com/lg-g3/856467-lg-g3-now-available-pre-order-t-mobile.html
I have. Running them all at. 5Perhaps if you go into SETTINGS > DEVELOPER OPTIONS & set the screen animation values to .5,or,just turn them off altogether, the nano-lag will all but disappear.
Nothing to apologize about. I had chosen the standard shipment.
Not that I can grab it from Stockholm, where I currently reside anyway.
But I am coming home soon!
If you paid for it, whether in installments, JUMP, or, purchased it outright, have the funds already been deducted from your financial institution?
I thought the funds we're deducted the day I ordered, but, aftet some backtracking, I found only today did the funds actually clear to T-Mobile.
So, with that in mind, I'm cautiously optimistic that by this time tomorrow, I'll be posting & telling everyone how awesome this phone is.
I paid outright, and I see temporary authorisation for Tmo upgrade for $658.
Verizon update: pretty much nothing aside from them having a couple banners about 50% off all new smart phones with the G3 in the picture, but when you hit the link, the G3 isn't in the listing of smartphones and none of the prices for the other phones have changed either.:banghead:
Need to wake up at 7. Maybe they will have more information (including edge pricing) later in the morning.
