$99 is a nice surprise! Note that that is a limited time, they have 50% off all smartphones right now.

I wonder when they'll have them in the stores? I'm still trying to decide between the G3 and M8.

My funds have left the building outright.

Also, within the past hour, the shipment has actually arrived @ the Louisville,KY hub as of 1:05 AM EDT.

ETA is 4:15 PM-6:15 PM EDT.

Tmo sent me email that they processed my payment, bit no order update.

Btw, there is a coupon on xda G3 Tmo thread for the free overnight shipping.

Prior Rant about a non-removable battery removed to try and rehabilitate my image.

Another Update: Talked to a live person who looked up the specs on his sheet and the user guide and it shows that there is a removable battery. He looked at the web page and said that the Non-removable battery is a mistake. Way to go Verizon, idiots. No one proof reads stuff. Idiots.

So - that's 3/32 for all the majors, yes?

($500 off)

Ftfy.

And only true if your contract isn't higher than if you bought the phone outright, otherwise, it's $100 off. I don't know how Verizon works, so this might be a null observation.

And -

The non-removable battery misprint is punishment for telling someone that the M7 has a better camera than the M8, when it doesn't. Among other things. :D

Live chat reps read from the same sources we do.

Of course, I could be wrong, and today is the day that Verizon came to their senses and said, "What?? An opportunity for another accessory sale?? No, thank you! Make that battery non-removable!"

But between the removable back pictured and Verizon being geniuses, I'm going with misprint.

It is a misprint. Talked with a rep who looked it up on his user guide and another source. Shows you what low level people work at Verizon. No one gets it absolutely, no mistake, correct. Idiots.

The rep said that it had the capabilities for wireless charging. Thus, one of the accessories is the Quick Circle case. So far, I see no OEM wireless charging back cover. I would prefer that as I have it on my G2. Maybe LG or a third party will release a back cover for the US models, similar to the ones that are available on ebay for the Korean models.

And if these phones are coming next week, where are the spare batteries? Ebay has 3rd party junk. Where can you buy an OEM LG G3 battery?

Not that we need another confirmation of a misprint, but the "in the box" tab shows the battery as a seperate item in the box. Kind of hard to have a non-removable battery not in the phone to start with :D

Steven- in response to your question about Verizon loophole, if you have a line on your plan which has a tiered data plan, you can transfer your unlimited upgrade to it, and Verizon online system wont require you to change the plan on your unlimited line. Since it sees tiered on the line you transferred the upgrade to. My coworker got a G2 with this and confirmed it works about a month ago, and it just worked for me now.

I don't get it. Didn't Steven tell us that the Verizon rep told him that a week ago when he was shopping for the M8??

Where's Steven?

Dang it all VERIZON !!!!. Whey did you have to get the 3/32 version ?
I had my mind made up that I wasn't going to get this phone and you had to go and pull that !! Pre-order is in :D

The rep did say that, yes. Only my wife has the loyally max plan at 6gb per month. He said it would work fine. Ty.

First, I want to play touchy feely in the store. I already have 2 cases and a 32 GB Samsung Pro Micro Sd for it. I kind of want wireless charging and so far, there are no other options except the circle case, which I do not want. Why would I get a 5.5 inch screen and reduce it to a small circle?

In the back of my mind is the thought that I am perfectly happy with my G2, so I might just wait until September and by then there may be more news on the G3 Prime and the Iphone 6. I am usually not this indecisive, but it is an interesting time in smartphones.

Just woke up. I'm too tired to go crow hunting :)

It would be nice if upon checkout on the Verizon site you could choose Device Payment Plan.

I have. Running them all at. 5

Just so I'm clear. It's not laggy at all. And I don't get that tiny stutter very often. It happens very very rarely. Really not worth even bringing up. But I'd be lying if I said I never saw it.

Let's just say it isn't as smooth as my M8 was. But it's pretty damn close.
Is there a reason to NOT switch to ART compiling? If it's all upside, wouldn't everyone do it? Wouldn't the oem?

Android won't officially make the switch to ART until Android L is released. So it's still beta. And I guess there might be some apps that have an issue (I haven't found one yet).

Guys, STOP trying to get info from chat reps. They usually either don't know or can't say. Mostly the former. Even store reps are pretty terrible. The reason being is most of these folks just aren't really into smartphones like we are.

I'm with the above - I want to play with the device a bit before jumping. Im still really happy with my M8.

The V specs say non-removable battery. I think it is a step backwards not to come with wireless charging. I'm going to wait and see how the V reviews are and see one in the store. I've grown iffy on this after all this waiting.

T-mo system of fullfilling the orders is quite strange, to say the least. Someone from xda reports that he ordered on July 4, regular shipment, and has it scheduled for delivery today.

I ordered on June 30, no signs of shipment, no track, nada.

Edit: just got email from T-mo w/tracking. 7/15 it is. Oh well.

I'm on Verizon and I was going to get a GS5, but I have a 32GB GS3 now and there's only a 16GB GS3, so that's a bit of a step down there.

With the LG G3, I'm mostly worried about the screen and battery life. I guess if I can carry an additional battery, it's not that big of a deal.

Does anyone know yet if the Verizon version can be rooted or will it take someone getting one in the hands first to know?

Are these available to hold in stores yet?

I read someone on reddit using towelroot, but can't remember if at&t or Verizon? Edit: had to be at&t since no one has the Verizon yet.

Verizon G3 not in stores yet. I tweeted them...No answer.
