Haiku is five then
A line with seven awaits
Five is the counting.

I just made that up.

And it's obvious blasphemy.

Three shall be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shall be three.

Ok, admit it. You didn't see that last part coming and you all wish you'd gotten there first. :D

yeah, u r right..except there is six in the last line. :p Just like in mine.:D

HTC Touch: the iPhone spoiler? | ZDNet

I owned the "iphone spoilier" in 2007. It looks reeeeally old, now. I now own the gnex, which also seems really old. It really is time to upgrade. I really wait for perfection.

Today's Haiku:

HTC Touch- Old
Waiting for the next big thing
Note 4 are you great?

Your itty bitty hands can hardly hold onto your light saber. How do you expect to hold a Note 4? Get the G3

OK. Here is my FWIW (not much) call: If Verizon only offers one version, it will be the 2/16. The reason is sales and price point. They sold a bunch of S5s and they are 16GB. Verizon will do the same thing with a 2/16 G3: State to customer the storage is expandable with micro sd.

Though a lot of us want a 3/32, Verizon will sell a LOT more 2/16 IF they only sold one size. They could price it at $200 on contract. A lot more sales than $50 or $100 more for the 3/32. Anybody with any economics background will find this irrefutable. Most customers could care less about 2/16 or 3/32- it is PRICE! Besides, they can "expand storage" with micro sd ;)

IMO, us Verizon locked folks should hope they sell BOTH models, since it would be bad business to sell just the 3/32.

As often as you say this I'll continue saying Verizon will offer the 3/32. So, one of us will be eating crow.

With that said.

How do you like your crow? :p :D

Me thinks Verizon is being dragged kicking and screaming into the new world by T-Mo. ie being more consumer friendly and less shareholder friendly. Their CEO said they weren't going to change things, but I am calling their bluff. They will offer the 3/32 for the same price as everyone else, ie 199.

Right click anywhere on page > Inspect element.

Scroll through code in inspector window, some pricing exists. The number $499 is present.

Possibilities:
1.) This means nothing.
2.) Some values are defaults and have yet to be updated.
3.) Not yet updated from previous G2 info.
4.) Mentions 1 yr pricing which is strange and not customary.

Not necessarily anything to get nervous about.

I have LG customer service on line chat right now. He said he's looking up whether Verizon gets the 2 or 3 gb. I doubt I'll get an answer but it's worth a try, no?

No. No it is not.

Any answers outside of I don't know or I couldn't say will be made up.

You know this.

LG cannot make commitments for, nor provide expectations for, another corporate entity such as Verizon without getting sued into oblivion.

:D

Two words: Buzz (and) kill. :)

Answer: "I don't know".. I tried.

1. Retail $600 to $700
2. I like my crow roasted with salt, pepper, parsley and olive oil.

Carriers would be smart to offer both models to maximize sales.

Carriers would be smart to offer both models to maximize sales.

They have to balance the sales with the fact that they now have less space to have something else there (opportunity cost).

If they think "X" would sell better, it wouldn't make sense to carry the larger size.

That's essentially why many carriers already don't sell the larger models of devices.

That's common sense retail, and there's also another factor at play.

Quotas.

Larger carriers often offer larger selections because they can do that and keep up with their ordering commitments.

Want to carry the iPhone? You will sell them in numbers or not at all.

Want to dilute the line? You're going to pay for the model startup costs with commitments.

Both absolutely relevant points. The bottom line with the carriers will always come down to P&L, which is why it wouldn't surprise me if Sprint requested the paired down 16/2, to increase profit margin, while lowering quota demand. Despite the G3's amazing hardware offering, it's still an unknown if they would be able to move units like they know they would with Samsung or Apple phones.

And with the merger talks increasing with T-Mobile, I'm sure upper management doesn't want to take additional risks in hardware that would be considered a wild card.

That isn't even getting into the marketing aspects of what the carriers do, in addition to the manufacturers. Unfortunately, it is consumers in a situation (especially on Sprint) where they have to suffer from getting what might be construed as a "lesser" offering.

there is a talk on xda that international versions come w/unlocked bootloader. Any truth in this?

Probably as much truth as the NA release will be the opposite ;)

As far offering other models, they could easily sell the 2/16 in stores and offer the 3/32 on line. They did that with the S4. Apparently there are no 32gb S5, at least in the West.

Just do not be surprised if the 2/16 is more common than expected.

I was getting antsy about my upgrade, so installed cm 11 on my Gnex. It took away some of the stress/tension. :p
