I have tried modding build.prop only to Nexus s and gs3. had anyone tried any others?

@Johnny. have you tried to edit build prop to unlock all play store apps?. I edited my stock rom to Nexus S and can play real racing but fails to unlock them on cm10. what do you think,?

there's a way around the build.prop edit...

i wish google would take more control over their operating system. like create a partition for device specific drivers and carrier specific apps, so that they could release updates across the spectrum. like with ios. if theres an update, everybody gets it as long as your device is capable of running it.

apple builds n sells their hardware, so its easier for them to do that. Android devices are to diverse for the same treatment.

did you select charger only. and is your phone connecting as mtp fine because my original usb cable doesn't connect any more it only slowcharges because it has a short or something so i had to use a different one from an old phone i had.

Pretty sure you have to change your usb connection setting.

I managed to find a touch recovery binary thats readable....

but you have to scroll alot to see all options.

We tried the oudhs recovery but touch isnt working on it.

restoring a backup would have done the trick too.
