Root LG Shine Plus ROM

Does anyone know if the Ally's ROM is compatible with the new LG Shine Plus from Telus?

Well it looks like the exact same phone in silver! And for non-US countries. I'm sure its the same system but I can't help you more than that.

I would say no simply because the camera's are different and I'm sure that will be an issue, you will have to find a really good phone information app and see if the build is called "aloha" if its not aloha than its not an Ally.

Look for "Android System Info" (no quotes) on the market. Once you open it there's a "System" tab. Tap that and all info about the phone should be there.

It's hard to say, the Shine Plus has some hardware upgrades like 5MP camera and such, the hardware and even software version will probably differ.

On top of that, the Allys ROM is most likely branded for Verizon and will not work on other network?

Im not sure. ive helped people flash phones to other networks, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, and Telus

Can you flash it to a different carried, yes its possible. But will the Ally ROM's work on it, 99% sure they wont, I'm pretty sure the camera alone will be enough to make it crap out.

Telus is both CDMA EVDO rev.A and HSPA (HSPDA and WCDMA), just no GSM.

Sayng it's a GSM phone while it being on a GSM-less carrier (Telus) doesn't really go together lol, the good thing is that it does have GSM bands for traveling. The Telus version of the Desire took out GSM bands unless you root and flash to a different rom (stock RUU or custom) which enables GSM, the stock Telus Desire can't use GSM/EDGE when you're traveling, which sucks.

I offered to try to make a recovery but couldnt get together with tester last night. Recovery 1st custom roms 2nd.
