Prices for the LG spirit isn't confirmed yet but if u ask me what's the best for your buck the gs3 hands down. Also the super active live community with 3 devs constantly making new roms tweaks mods and what not it's like you get a free lifetime membership to free awesome updates to whatever u wanna try. If that alone in worth the 5 bills I don't know what is. With that being said I'm sure the LG spirit will be a nice phone but like me and few others speculated it's most certain it might come with a locked bootloader and that alone is a huge turn off for me. also some1 asked about the lg spirit 4g having root, it will eventually have root and im guessing same root method for the lg motion should work since both are lg phones and both have ics, if it dosn't wont be long till it does. now in the other hand custom recovery such as clock work mod or twrp dont know about that unless they can get a bootstrap for it like they did for the motion but was told by shabby thats very dangerous since it dosn't function like a normal bootloader so if anything goes wrong getting it to boot or booting into recovery will be impossible i assume... lol times like these i wish i knew a dev that worked for lg lol any1 speaks korean? :D

Im pretty sure someone will find a root. its the bootloader that's locked down

its a really good read. root wont just happen, it requires someone taking a look at the phone and finding a weakspot. some phones dont have them, some have them but will never be released due to how bad the bug is. some dont get released so they can be used another day (example would be most samsung devices can be flashed with cwm and rooted on any firmware after any update regardless of version).

so please do not think that root is a given, root doesnt always just happen. you want better example of that id suggest checking here and here. if the root that works on teh lg motion isnt patched then lg is a damn fool. how long would you let your gmail password sit out in the open before changing it?

Like gman said right below you, it uses evdo. It also has the capability of using 1xrtt. Since it has evdo, I will assume it will be using the new technology of the rev a, and not the older rev 0. So, you will have LTE capability, with the ability to fall back on evdo rev a and even 1xrtt for times when you don't have the LTE signal.
 
Looks like a solid phone, 245 ppi. That's higher than the Nexus 7 and that screen looks really good, not as great as the 306 ppi of the GS3, but still great.

Other than that, the internal storage is pretty low. Wish Metro would plea LG for 8GB. I have tons of purchases on my Google account and right now I am maxed out on my GS3. Too many apps and too many games.

I may get this phone as a gift to someone later on.
 
hay guys i don't find anything online about a true color ips display. is it good??????? and one thing that's bothering me about the phone is the talk time 4 hours is really not cool. im going to w8 a month after release to see what you guys say before i buy i don't want to end up with a phone that's going to be dying on me and any word on the heating does it get hot????

its battery has the same mah as the galaxy S3 and more mah than the Lg motion.

its not gonna last only 4 hours unless you play games constantly for hours on end. making phones calls, text, and web surfing will give you 12 hours at the least.

Metro tends to give you worse case scenario statistics with how long the battery will last. The gs3 is rated for 7 hours on metros site but 15 hours on phonearena. So unless you are a absurdly heavy gamer you're getting more than 4 hours.

I notice that part where it says Unlock code with the 2 x's. Is that the boot loader, or what does that mean?
