My contacts in the dialer are e-mail addresses and not my phone contacts. How do I get them back? :o:mad:

Anyone try to make a call since loading it?

About to make a long trip and need those numbers!!!!

Happened to some of mine also...............can not see the VZW Backup Assistant.

Most of mine are OK but i lost a few and a few only have email addys. I am thinking it must be the above......... ????????????????

If you have a nandroid backup to restore everything back to, maybe you should do that now. ;)

But as a precaution, you should unmount your System and wipe that, along with Data and Cache, before doing the restore.

What are you using for your contacts? I had some issues using VZW backup the first time I flashed a ROM. Now I make sure all my contacts that I want are in my Gmail address book. That just makes it easier to get them back each and every time I do anything.

Yeah, I don't trust Vz backup assistant, never used it, never will.

Also, make sure your Liberty downloaded rom is the full 115mb.

Big,

If your contacts are mainly from Gmail and it contacts this should be easy peasy. I'd do a complete data wipe and then sync your data back with gmail and contacts, etc.

Are your contacts from Gmail? (If not change them over. It's the best way with android, imo).

How do I just go back to the original Android 2.2? Will that get my contacts back. If not I can go to Verizon and get them to load them from Back Up Assist. Has always worked that way for me.

Never used Google as a back up to my knowledge.

From what I can see from other settings in this ROM I'm not going to like it. No swype(can't seem to enable it? )Can't seem to add a yahoo e-mail address. Yikes....

You did make a backup of your original, stock 2.3.340 rom before loading your first rom, right? If you did, then going back is a restore away.

Assuming it did that with bootstrap? If not I guess I'm ****ed?

Bootstrap recovery is all good. Reboot into Bootstrap recovery and wipe data, cache, and system, then do a restore to your backup. That will get you back to the point where you made the backup.
