I've tried a few different kernels out there, but, overall, Chevy's kernels seemed to work best for me. I'm running LFY 1.4 with chevy's ulv 1.2 right now. Smooth sailing so far.gotcha...
im gonna try chevy's ulv 1.2 to see if there is any difference in battery life. i have been using my ole stand by p3droids lv 1.2 designed for this rom. it works great on ss4.6 but not so much on this one.
for my phone anyway.
I also donated to the causeAnd although I hate when people tell you that "you should donate"...having seen how much work has gone into 1.3 and 1.4.........my cheap ass donated...nuff said

Thanks for the link. Didn't see those yet. Which one(s) are you running?Check out these new kernels by slayher: Froyo Kernels by slayher - CyanogenMod Forum.
Working great for me.

The question wasn't directed at me, apologies for "butting in", but I personally always use SetCPU. I set it to max-speed on demand, and then have a few profiles to scale down when screen is off or if either battery goes low or CPU temp goes high. I am actually about to try out 2 of the kernels GLD had linked.do you use setcpu to govern the kernals or let the new kernals adjust themselves?

Thanks! I've just tested the LV 1.2 with interactive mode and it seems to be a bit faster overall than Chevy's 1.2 (quadrant score is ~100 higher, right after rebooting both). Have to evaluate battery life and temperature more though, but looking like a great alternativeYou need SetCPU with this ROM. With the slayher kernels, there's a new "interactive" mode setting in SetCPU. That's what I'm using and it's great.

Yeah, it's been REALLY great for me so far -- cool, snappy and rock stable!
Yeah...they sound pretty great...
My finicky Droid doesn't care for them too much...won't get past the lockscreen Even the SV ones [sad music plays]
I couldn't install the JDLFG kernels either...
wow! i just got my highest quadrant score with a 1.2 kernal, 1767 in performance and without killing any apps! i had gotten 1778 before but i was using chevy's 1.25. i hope the battery life is as impressive. i almost downloaded the 1.1 kernal because the minimum setting was a little lower. how big will the difference be between 250mhz and 300?
it looks as if all is good@seadams
Yes, you can install 1.4 without any problems...just ignore the OTA notification
Just thought I'd post a few additional screen shots. I love the theme choices and he's an idea of what they look like up against the same background with some custom Launcher Pro setups
it's getting really late for me and I can not look through any more forum pages. I'm assuming those text icons are for LauncherPro? Can someone please direct me to them b/c I can not find them for the life of me. That and a red themed Swype keyboard and I'd be set but all the links I find for those are broken too. I give (until tomorrow at least).
One thing that has been annoying me since frf84 is that 70% of the time i touch the home button it takes the widgets like 10 seconds to reload and 10 seconds before you can swipe to a new page see http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/147226-2-2-slow-icon-refresh.html. People said frf22 or whatever its called would help this, it didn't... MY request is that you fix this, pretty please.
