Root Liquid Smooth Rom 3.1

I just ended up grabbing it from the market hah. Not a big deal, was just surprised to find it missing all of a sudden.
Yeah, I was too. It's usually included but for some reason he's not doing that. Perhaps some like their own terminal programs and they conflict? Just loaded a new 3.2 beta and it's not in there either.

been running this for a while now. everything is working great for me.
i have to give a suggestion though.
you all should try xoomdev's new kernal. AOSP based off the latest GB build. it is fast, smoother than the one included, and i am seeing a good 30% increase in battery life.

Link?

I have to say this is my favorite ROM to date. The switch from Liquid 3.0 -> 3.1 made a huge difference. Had a bit of lag in 3.0 on the lock screen which has disappeared. A really well done ROM.

I concur with eipee on 3.1 being better than 3.0. I had battery drain issues on 3.0 that are not present on 3.1.

@Bjanow any big difference in 3.1 and the new 3.2 beta?

Not that I can see yet other than some updated programs, fonts, and it looks like a diff theme (R3Ds) . I'll play a little more tonight. Still lightning fast and no batt drain. Oh yeah, very cool lockscreen from the OP. I was running this theme on 3.1 and now it looks like the default. Lost the crazy animations however.

Holy chit! I just flashed xoom's kernel (after reading thru the thread on rootz and backing up) and now 3.1 is zooming along! Nice find!

I'm not one to mess with overclocking (yet) so it's just running at 1 MHZ, but it's smoother and the handoff between Wifi and 3G is almost instantaneous (Have to check on 4G a little later). Not to mention I haven't seen any lag in my apps or any animations.

I still have to spend a whole day with it and see how it does, but I was suprised at how big a difference I noticed right after I flashed it. It's still a work in progress from what I'm reading on Rootz, but a very good kernel for me so far.

I am giving Xoom's kernel a whirl today. I undervolted -50, then cranked the 245 slot down to 750 since I know my phone can take it. So far so good, and he is looking into adding call recording which I miss (I don't think Imo will ever add it).

I have it dl let me know how you like it. I can flash it a little later if it runs well for you. I can't see getting much more speed but you never know. And the 30% increase in batt life? Do tell.

just wondering--

i have been messing with settings all day and CANNOT get the calendar widget to show up on the lockscreen.

under the lockscreen settings there are a bunch of options for calendar-- (show event, with reminder, 3 days in advance, etc)

no matter what i do, no calendar reminder or anything shows up on my lock screen. has anyone gotten this to work? i just cant get it!

any response appreciated--

I would suggest getting widget locker, it works so much easier than dealing with the stock lockscreen IMO.

i dont really have cash to pay for a wigetlocker.

im just trying to figure out if you have to have a certain lockscreen enabled for it to work, or if it even works at all.

if anyone can/has figured this out, plz let me know!

much appreciated.

I'm using lockscreen "honey" but it prolly works on others too. Then go back, click widgets. scroll to calendar click next reminder box, go to events calendars and select the calendar you want to show. Then go to future events and select your timeframe like 1 week. That should do it.

Ok like the liquid 3.1 rom, but man is battery life killing me.
And it never mounts my sd card, so the camera wont work or any apps that are on the sd.
I did not flash a kernal only the rom.
Do i need to flash a new one?

No. Dismount the card and remount.

I think this rom and my phone dont get alone to good
any other ideas for a good rom to try with a picky t-bolt

Finally got around to flashing 3.1. I like the ICS theme going on. It will be a short stay on 3.1, though. Something huge is going down in AOSP this evening. . .;)

What rom did you come from previously? Also what all did you wipe when you flashed?

If you were coming from any OMG or sense build I would recommend wiping /system, /data, cache, and dalvik, my phone has issues going between CM and OMG builds without a /system wipe

Yeeha
yo was helping me the other night just to get this working
everything was wiped cleaned and formatted, got the rom running but i am definitly not happy with the battery
i just reinstalled set cpu to maybe help a little bit???
After i flashed the omfg kernal, i seem to be having signal problems now
i normally get a weak 3g at home but now im getting weak 1x, but a kernal shouldnt have anything to do with that should it?
