Root Liquid Smooth Rom 3.1

I have always liked IMO's kernels 5.0.3 seems very nice to my phone. Check your wireless settings to make sure they didn't get messed up for some reason. Also many people are saying good things about xoomdev's new kernel [ROM]Zoom-Kernel (Thunderbolt-AOSP) - RootzWiki I haven't tried it but you may want to look into it.

What are you running the speed at? min/max and governer?

I'm trying to install this ROM and I've been looking at the screen that says "htc" for about 10 min now. Does it take this long for it to install ?

@Randy

No, I think you will need to update your recovery before you can install it. What recovery and version are you using?

Doing some reading, did i not flash liquid the right way?
I did not remae the zip file i put it on the sd card and flashed it from recovery/choose what to install.
Should i have renamed that .zip to update.zip and let it flash from h-boot?

You flashed it the right way, not sure what you read but you never flash a rom in hboot.

Finally got around to flashing 3.1. I like the ICS theme going on. It will be a short stay on 3.1, though. Something huge is going down in AOSP this evening. . .;)

If you are talking about what I think you are...is it really an AOSP ROM? I think it is kind of missing the OS part. Still big news...pretty much means these guys can port almost anything to an LTE phone.

Guys this is a Liquid 3.1 thread, Worm's big news thread would be located here can we try for a little less chaos here since there are people still asking questions about Liquid 3.1.

OK THOUGHT I DID IT RIGHT
BEEN READING SO MUCH IM GOING INTO ROM OVERLOAD
THIS LIQUID JUST DONT LIKE MY PHONE
I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A STOCK gb ROM THAT IS ROOTED AT THIS POINT

The stock rooted rom is located here IIRC use the second link, you may also want to try out some sense roms to see if they suit you better

Not with liquid they are included, if you flash CM7 or OMGB/OMFGB you will need to flash gapps, it is just the google apps for the phone (market, gmail...)

I flashed Liquid GB 3.1 after I cleared out cache and dalvic cache. When I booted it up....it just stayed in the boot loop. I'm currently running rooted stock. I can't figure out what I did or didn't do to make the new ROM not load... Any ideas?

I would just try to do it again (maybe clear dalvic cache, cache, and data). The first time I tried flashing Liquid Smooth (3.0 at that time) I got stuck in a reboot loop. Like I said, give it another go after clearing everything. You won't be disappointed once you get it up and running.

Fixed eipee's post ;) wipe all the partitions when going from one type of framework to another to avoid issues
