Root Low Voltage Kernal by ejhart

which kernel version? there were alot of different versions flying around. it took me a couple versions until i got a good one that worked for my phone. i think all phones are different too.

I am using:
2.6.29-cc1c2268root@laptopone #6

I'm using the hydra overclocked undervolted version w/ wireless N support. Seems to be stable and use a bit more power. I have a system monitor working in the background logging cpu, battery, and use. So I'll post that later. Wireless tether was working fine. Should of done a ping on it. Oh well later.

edit:hers that picture. That's 20 hours with 8% battery left. this is a normal day with some web browsing, maybe 10 or so minutes of phone, and 30-60 minutes of games. There is definitely a loss in battery life with the overclock and undervolt kernel as I would probably be at 40%-50% battery with today's usage. I also used wifi

Phone lost power at 4:40. Up next the regular hydra UV with N

Wow, the undervolt kernel is fantastic. I unplugged my Inc at 7 this morning and the battery is now at 71%. Normally, my battery would be dead.

Great job on the kernel, and thanks for posting it!

I think the gaming did you in. with the overclock kernel i definitely noticed i used more battery using games. browsing was noticeably more juice hogging too, but gaming was eating like 1% a min for me!

Anyone have any issues with their bluetooth stack and these kernels? I'm not sure if it's the new wifi N driver, but ever since installing this kernel my bluetooth has been screwed. It will be on when the phone boots, but if I toggle it off, it turns off but will never come back on. When I go to the bluetooth settings everything gets greyed out as soon as I try to turn bluetooth back on. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I cannot say for sure that my battery life is much better, but it is normally dead at this point during the day(at 30% now). Also, the battery itself seems much cooler than normal.

if you are using the new hydra kernels that may be why yours died so fast... they dont use set cpu... with the old ones i have profiles and even with using my phone it last way longer bc of my sleep profile

heres the regular undervolted with wireless N I used it a little less today, maybe 30 minutes under. battery was at 26%. Same time span 20 hours.

It might be just me but despite linpack now giving me. Score of 8 at 1115 speed. The phone seems rather slower

I have logcat as my wallpaper and I'd notice the Overclocked idle would be running way more lines of code than normal. Stock kernel had the lowest amount.

how do you install this zip? i try to choose from the sd and install the hydra.zip but no go. any ideas?

You have a rooted phone right? If so, place the zip on your SD card, then boot into recovery, open clockword mod and choose the install zip from sd card option.

yes got root! it just was not opening the zip. it said it was bad. so i tried the over clock undervolt and it loaded. then i tried the under volt stock clock and it loaded. strange? thanks

oh do you know a good cpu speed meter app? i want to know how fast it is going Thanks

Hydra overclocked undervolted. Here is my usage meter

I do use my phone a lot but I mostly listen to podcasts and music all day at work so that keeps my phone working constantly. Any tips?

This is 2150 htc battery btw

Holy cow, your life stinks :( Are you in a no-service area? If you don't have service, turning on airplane mode will increase life dramatically.

What utility is that which shows the battery life plotted over time? I really like it. Do I need root to use it?

I flashed the undervolt Wireless +N, not-overclocked kernel. It seems I get even worse battery life... I used to be able to go from 6AM to 7PM on 1 charge. With that kernel I'm barely making it to NOON on a single charge. Not sure what is going on, I'm not using setCPU either.

so we're getting mixed reviews here, is this kernel good for battery life or bad? i just loaded it yesterday so i guess i'll find out today.
