Power off your ph...
Hold Vol+ & Power until logo appears then let go
Recovery comes up with vol button go down to wipe cache hit power button let it clean n reboot system that should fix the issues now if you have any apps running vin background that controls functions of battery. That its gonna keep giving you issues.
 
There may be some lag when doing an OTA update because your apps have to "settle in". Also, some apps may need updates after the OTA so it may be a few days for the phone to get back to normal.

My twitter app (Talon) went haywire after the OTA , There was an update to Talon in the Play store and now it is back to normal.

1. My phone lags like computers used to do after a long time w/o a reboot.
2. My phone is now charging more slowly AND the quick charging notification when charging while powered down no longer appears - tested with QC 2&3 @ 59% & 0%.

Looks like draconian zte developed battery explosion paranoia and dialed charging down.
 
Scrolling now very buggy - after performing any action... making a post / or a like / selecting or enabling... in browser / android settings / third party apps... Either of the following occurs :
Screen / page freezes in position or will not scroll past a certain point.

I finally ordered an unlock for my Zmax, so 2 day wait... If we're now only getting temporary stalls that the phone will recover itself from I don't care about that at all; it's having to manually reset my radio several times a day that infuriates me.

Wiping hasn't helped slow charging, general lagginess, LONG reboots, freezes and slowdowns.

Unfortunately been there done that, unless ZTE added something in the update that controls battery functions then I have no app that does so...
 
I started having network problems again this morning. I hadn't had any since I warrantied out the old phone. I don't know if it was the update, or if there are just issues in my area right now. It worked fine all day yesterday after updating.
 
Doing a factory reset seems to have mine back to normal. We'll see how long it lasts. Clearing the cache didn't seem to help.

For me everything is functioning properly a few lags on my son's games but i updated the n everything cool now... N when i wanto fastcharge o QC i use either my wife's charger car or wall (S7)
And it works fine. B-)
 
@Krlypumaa - the short codes were working in my device as well as the *#info#* but not only the info short code works. I tried several but oh well. A few changes here and there e
 
Long time lurker here. I wanted to put my two cents in about the short codes. I noticed a new short code was added after the recent update.

This code is labelled as "HW MBN Configuration". Clicking the 3 dots in the upper right corner brings up "Location Configuration". I have not seen it mentioned so I wanted to share my find with you all.

I was using my phone while connected to the charger and received two warnings concerning the adjusting of charge and I think it said it was due to internal temperature. I never received such warnings before the update. Kind of a red battery icon appeared also.
 
I SIM unlocked my Zmax last night. Also did a factory wipe right afterwards (wife last one to use it). So I can't comment on any pre-wipe B12 occurrences. For the record, my Zmax is a B08 Metro running on a T-Mobile SIM.

Woke up this morning and still connected, and I haven't had to reset the radio yet today. So far so good.

No issues charging overnight and I noticed the Dolby Audio app isn't going all $hithouse when you run audio apps in background, which is a plus (EQ cut out when switching apps)

Two of my biggest issues taken care of for now. Anything else, not too sure. Radio issue forced me to use another phone, so I never got too far into the OS on this one.

So B12 fixes B08 phones with connection problem but breaks connectivity on B08 phones that previously worked fine?
 
OK...So, the people who said that you lose predictive typing are correct. At least as far as when using the text messaging app. Predictive text seems to work fine everywhere else... but not within the text messaging app. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Not gonna happen, sorry. The stock Messenger app is granted permission to:

-Modify system settings

And Google keyboard is not able to obtain permission to draw over anything.

I was able to switch system modify permission to off. However, Messenger won't open back up until you give it permission once again to modify system settings. Bummer.

Tried to allow Google keyboard's permission to draw over other apps, but unfortunately that option is greyed out, can't touch it.

There's your answer. It's granted the right to put lay that stupid emoji/talk button over your text prediction bar.

I did get text correction to work though.... Just not prediction bar.

Lol, time to look for another SMS app or keyboard.

Please "transfer" to settings..... I'm willing to bet that most of what we speak and type in the messenger app is being sent back to ZTE HQ in East Korea [emoji16]

No warnings - just the Quick Charging logo disappeared - BUT... phone running noticeably warmer ALTHOUGH NOT alarmingly hot...just that it always ran fairly cool before.

Zero disconnects - not worried anymore... although tradeoff has been high ping + lower top speeds.
I think that one disconnect reported was just unrelated / coincidental.
