Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [KERNEL][Linaro][OC/UV]KT747 Kernel 2.1GHz

I set my voltage to ChiweN's suggestion and didn't have any issues until I ran Facebook and I got the reboot. Up'd everything up 15 and everything is running smooth, getting pretty good battery life for what I use the phone for.

Man I have no idea what I'm running a that's killing my battery... And my android os is on the top above screen time... And for some reason my phone spends a lot of time at top speed no matter what kernel I use...

Hmm mines like that to but I do use the phone most of the time

Yea but usually screen is the biggest percentage... I think I figured it out after installing everything one by one and watching the cpu load... I'm down to 3g booster script and an audio mod... What it does it loads the cpu to 100% goes max speed and never goes below 75% load so it tears the battery up... I used system panel to watch what everything does once installed... I do know that both of my suspects make additions to build. prop... But all is good now

I'm glad ya got it working! Sorry I've not been here to help answer questions and trouble shoot guys, I have some things going on this weekend that require my full attention.

Umm requires your full attention lol just joking clean rom requires full attention lol :D

All good brother... I completely understand that... Besides sometimes it's good to troubleshoot on my own... And learn a lot of useful things that way lol

I am liking this kernel with Blackbean.

I have voltages set 15 more that Chiwen's setting, OC'd to 1728, SmartassV2 governor.

I have had zero reboots, web pages load quickly, Temple Run no lag, battery is great.

Why does it ask me this everytime I reboot? It will ask this for every single options. Built in performance settings is not set at boot and I'm using init.d because KTweaker won't save my adjustments

It says the same thing to me everytime i reboot my phone:(

Okay it only does that for governor adjustments now. It will even ask me after closing and reopening KTweaker. I got rid of my init.d script and the governor settings still don't want to stick.

I have been on this kernel w/BB for over a week. This is running very good. I have not had any probs with things not sticking. After I OC'd, change voltages, selected a govenor, set options on boot...I backed up Prefs to SD card. My settings are on Post #86.

ok i have chiwen voltage settings..using smartassv2..im also on king kang rom..but can someone tell me what the voltage adjustments he did were for exactly..is it to conserve battery life?

I think so yes. Lowering the voltage as much as possible while still keeping a stable rom. (conserves battery)

I'm not sure. I believe if you have the cpu at a same speed it will perform the same.

ok..i think your definitely right..because i have his exact same voltage settings and i dont see any difference in performance..which is great..just waiting to see how the battery life changes now..thx for the help!

For the sake of providing feedback, I'm relating my experience here with this kernel
Setup: AOKP + Linaro
CPU clocked @ default settings, Voltages @ default, IO Scheduler: bfq, Governor: Smartass V2.

Extended use of TempleRun, Youtube and (specially) Nagivation causes reboots.
Undervolting causes reboots.
Even with defaults loaded, the ROM still sometimes end up rebooting.
Overclocking to 2.1Ghz renders device severely unstable, regardless of voltage settings.
Overclocking ro 1.9 fairs somewhat better, but somewhat usable oc speeds end at 1.7Ghz. (i.e. the last three settings cause too many random reboots).
No noticeable improvement in smoothness/speed over stock 1.5GHz speed, so that's why I'm sticking with that... (I must admit though, that benchmark scores are higher when overclocked.)
Still rebooting at random, but most often when undertaking GPU-intensive tasks as mentioned above.

(Also experiencing some difficulties when transitioning from 4G down to 3G / 1x when signal is weak, but I don't want to lay blame on this without first thoroughly testing everything. It may also be an AOKP / AOSP bug)
Based on that experience, I'm considering going back to the default kernel. (good thing I dd'ed a backup to my PC).

Just discovered something that will help everyone with their voltage settings. I'm assuming everyone is using KTweaker? OK, go into voltages. Press the menu button & a lil screen pops up to let you add/subtract voltages all through the system in 5 or 25 volt increments
