Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 Nightly Builds for d2mtr

yea go back to stable version its labeled stable for a reason lol i believe u can select the update on your phone and read the logs to see whats been fixed or updated and if it seems like something u really need then try it out but if its useless stuff like more languages added french and chinese man we dont need that but some1 that dont talk english might lol.

That Worked! The Stable ROM fixed the problem! That was the first time I used Nightlies. Does the CM team know there is a problem? I don't know how that works. Or maybe just my phone was picky about the ROM and not all people had this problem.

well the nightly ones are pretty much beta builds trying out new updates they may or may not work properly like the stable version. seems they continue to add new stuff to their updates and some stuff might be buggy. But yea if u dont have time to be fussing with such builds just stick to stable and you'll be alright.

This is a nice ROM, but the signal is very bad. Went back to stock rooted. My signal is 3 times better. Someone needs to work on the ril

i really dont like the JB Camera on CM10 , is there a problem if i put back the ICS Camera on the CM10??? if so can someone toss me a link on where i can get it..

to be honest i dont think the roms interferes with signal reception, perhaps the animated signal bar animation might not be showing accurate amount of signal but despite your calling quality and performance should be the same, and the same goes for your 4g performance.

i was walking mrpnut through this last night, if you go to about phone > status youll see a number usually -##DB that is your signal. LTE is quriky and doesnt really work out well enough i know it, but if you turn off 4g here is how it all breaks down.

-65DB you are standing within a hundred feet of the tower cuz damn your signal is great
-100DB you will suffer battery drain due to poor signal

on cm/aokp/bb the db is converted into how many bars you should have. touchwiz they like to spread a bit of a white lie and say youve got much better signal than you really do, partitally so your phone doesnt search for better signal and cause big battery drainage. if you wish to confirm this read what your 3G db is and how many bars you have, then go back to stock and see what your db is (should be around the same since you arent moving the tower ;) ) and look at how many bars you have

Ok so why can I send an mms on stock rom, but with any of the others I can't. & I'm sitting in the exact same spot? I really like cm10 & baked bean. But the mms issue is a real pain & the constant roaming signal

You know there's only about six Files (Rom's) for Samsung Galaxy S III (M. PCS) - d2mtr / nightly Rom. How do i determine the one i need?

Wherever you're downloading from there should be a tab that lets you select all, nightlies, or stable. Nightlies are just that. They come out every night but are like testers. If you're not into flashing a tester every night you should go for the stable.

This is what i don't understand md5sum: 2391140808966e1450674ef0bd26952e The root guide says to check your md5sum?
