Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 Nightly Builds for d2mtr

This is what i don't understand md5sum: 2391140808966e1450674ef0bd26952e The root guide says to check your md5sum?

Start from the beginning of the stickied thread and try reading as much as you can. Not trying to be mean but if you read thoroughly, you should end up with a lot less questions. I can't link you to the thread as I am on my phone right now. It's a good read and its always beneficial to have all the knowledge possible

Thanks man. went to the all things root guide/ went down to Roms and taped on this one [ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10 Nightly Builds for d2mtr just to let you know where i got that... Thanks again.

Oh ok gotcha. I think that's to ensure we have the right rom for our phone. I wouldn't know what I'm looking at with all the numbers. I just look for d2mtr in the name. :)

i was walking mrpnut through this last night, if you go to about phone > status youll see a number usually -##DB that is your signal. LTE is quriky and doesnt really work out well enough i know it, but if you turn off 4g here is how it all breaks down.

-65DB you are standing within a hundred feet of the tower cuz damn your signal is great
-100DB you will suffer battery drain due to poor signal

on cm/aokp/bb the db is converted into how many bars you should have. touchwiz they like to spread a bit of a white lie and say youve got much better signal than you really do, partitally so your phone doesnt search for better signal and cause big battery drainage. if you wish to confirm this read what your 3G db is and how many bars you have, then go back to stock and see what your db is (should be around the same since you arent moving the tower ;) ) and look at how many bars you have
OK, I did some testing this morn & just now. With cm10 & BB I have a -98 to 102 dBm. On the stock ROM I have a -92 to 95 dBm. So there's not too much difference. But I am sitting in the same spot in front of my pc. On the JB roms my signal drops out & goes to roaming. On ICS it's at 3 bars with 3g showing. Don't know what's going on. Maybe my phone doesn't like JB.

how do you all have such horrible signal? How To Measure Cell Signal Strength on Android Phones - Tested i sit around -75dBm on 3g (on sprint) and have no issues. -100 is going to be battery draining. your device is going to keep searching for much better signal and drain your battery
OK in my mobile network settings under system select "Automatic" is checked. Just checked Metro only & the signal jumped down to -88 to 90. I'm at a loss as to why the signal is so horrible. Maybe Metro is adjusting their towers again.

Remember that problem I was having? It's back and I'm on the stable CM10 ROM.

When I hit power button the display is dim and kind of flickers. If I unlock it the screen goes black. You have to keep hitting the power button to turn on and off the phone until it comes on at regular brightness then you can use the phone. It only happens when you hit the power button to use it.

Any suggestions? Could root cause this? or you think its the ROM?

I am on the 11/30/12 cm10 nightly. Has anyone notice the phone becoming a little warm? Especially towards the home button?

PPRODUCT NAME: SCH-R530M
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Offical
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (in gray)
:confused::confused: What do I do to get back to my rom. Its been stuck for an hour now. HELP plaese.

Just yank the battery or turn off the phone by long pressing the power button. It's fine. It won't break it. You can disregard that message.
That is, as long as you are not trying to actually flash with Odin and the phone is connected to a computer.
If it is, something went wrong, so just turn it off, and try again.

In other words, just turn it off. Scream SHUT UP, and turn it back on while wagging your finger at it. It'll be fine. :)

You gotta listen to this guy. He is AMAZING! A bit of a dork... yes. But I think it adds to his charm. Great stuff to listen to while doing computer work as there are no vocals.

Check out the sickness:

The most notable features from 4.2 is the photopshere n keyboard. The multiuser is useless on a phone. The notifications is nice but the aosp toggles aren't toggles but shortcuts.
