If I'm not mistaken, cm 10 is based on Android 4.1.1.
Cm10.1 is based on Android 4.2.1
There are features in 10.1 not available to cm10.
Difference between stable and nightly?
Stable has little to no bugs? Nightlies will have a few bugs here and there.
Most likely a lot more in depth things I don't know of! LOL

Ok so 4.2 is the next version after JB? Checked the nightlies, & I do understand that the beginnings of a ROM are gonna be a bit buggy lol
Technically android 4.2 is still jellybean. It had improvements over 4.1 such as photosphere camera and big upgrade to Google now and voice search. I have been running CM 10.1 nightly builds for about a week and feel like it is much smoother and more intuitive than CM 10 or any of the jellybean ROMs can't wait till we get a stable 10.1
Morning everybody! I just got my new S3 and got CM10 Stable on it last night. I have a few questions.
First off - what happened to the Swype keyboard? I can't seem to make Swype work. Secondly, during a call on speakerphone (I tend to leave conference calls on speakerphone) how can I keep my screen from going dark and having to hit the unlock button again to be able to do anything?

You can extend the time the screen turns off in settings and display.
Your other cm question was moved into the official cm thread. There was a reason for that.

Cm10.1 has native swype
OK. Maybe I'll just wait until CM has a 10.1 stable then. I'll survive without it

lol and usually we merge or move threads to keep forum organized would be kinda of epic if we had 10-15 threads on the subforum all concerning the same matter i think u know what i mean

No, I'd say it's a bit of over-moderation honestly. I'm certainly not going to wade thru a 16 page thread to find info on 1 small question like mine.
EDIT: Unless this is a forum geared more towards advanced users, and those such as myself who don't do much software work should be looking elsewhere?? Honest question, not trying to be sarcastic or an ass.

Im sorry you feel like that, we encourage people to ask as much questions as they like i hope i did not give you the feeling you did anything wrong and if i did im sorry that was not my intent. No iccid is still unknown I'm on the nightly I just flashed the other and no not on experimental my Bluetooth is loud and clear though I'm about to flash blackbean7 since I've been waiting since bb6

You won't be dissapointed. I think it has a few more features in settings than the usc build. I will test the experimental. Hope iccid is fixed.
Edit: iccid still unknown but man is this thing smooth. It feels like I'm still on bb7.
