Well, all the AOSP ROMs for this phone are fixer uppers (no disrespect to DM47021, Hroark13 or any of the devs who have worked on these ROMs. I know that its hard work especially when there is no kitkat source for this device) so if the bugs bother you then you might want to stick with stock or use GameTheory's Xperion ROM which which gives you the stability of stock with a few aosp goodies. You could also use one of the kk4.4.2 ROMs which have a couple bugs but are more stable than aosp. As far as I know the only bugs with the 4.4.2 ROMs are Bluetooth and rear camera on the newer f6s that came running 12b out of the box.

Although xperion is an actual rom for this phone instead of a port, carbon is a pretty decent port. I've only noticed the black screen bug, which isn't a huge deal just super annoying.

I actually messed it up last night by thinking it was the kernel and installed freedom kernel, and I ended up having to reflash. Seems to be stable since then, although I think I will disable the sleep animation since it's not exactly useful just flashy. Thanks for the tip though.

Yeah freedom kernel is great but its just for jelly bean

While you are right that the option to unmount the SD card is there, the "erase SD card" option will only format it to fat32 and erase everything. Repartitioning the SD card is something you do with twrp or a special app.
 
Well....... I'm on KK VOA.... black screens were getting inconvenient.....

Lucky thing thou... Somehow the scripts on my SD card are making sure things are installing to SD..

Unless VOA has fuse... I dunno... I'm sick as a dog... right in time for spring break.... Same thing every year....

I wanted CARBON to be the last ROM I install.... Just got tired of the hustle involved... to make things jive

I started having dreams of monster phones ....lol.... Thank you spring fever....

I read someone's comments in another phones blog about how all the ROM,s for this phone are "half baked"...

It made me angry because that idiot apparently didn't understand what it took... all the trouble... To practically scratch build a compliant ROM.. from something that has nothing to do with it....

I knew you'd never give up!! Lol actually I was losing a bit of faith, thought the the f6 was dying. But sweet sounds exciting man! These fixes for Mystery ROM, Carbon, or both?
 
rebuilding Carbon today, Random reoots GONE!, Black Screen GONE!, Lights Work, built from source.. even notification led working, vibration is broken right now (as in no vive) i think i have it figured out too, but there are more important things that have been fixed...
 
Kinda sad. It seems like no one really cares much anymore. I've been running a rebuilt ROM + kernel for 3 days strait with screen ani on.. Not a single reboot or black screen

No one is bothering me lol, I do these things for fun, and for myself.. If I happen to fix something.. I share. Right now iam working on a new high performance kernel. Porting mpdecision in kernel from The bricked kernel. And also in kernel thermal control, with faux sound. Everything can be tweaked via the sysfs. But thats down the road. Having a vary annoying error after vmlinux ... About section mismatch... I'll get it. But its just annoying
 
YES!! You're amazing, people do care I for one just thought you disappeared off the map. What do you mean by a high performance kernel? Overclocking?
