it goes far deeper than that... replaces qcoms hotplug binary with msm_mpdecision (IN-KERNEL, better battery life + performance)YES!! You're amazing, people do care I for one just thought you disappeared off the map. What do you mean by a high performance kernel? Overclocking?
nope, uusally iam just working quietly... i never give up easily.. i worked in porting jellybean from gingerbread for over a year on the og zte warpYES!! You're amazing, people do care I for one just thought you disappeared off the map. What do you mean by a high performance kernel? Overclocking?
rebuilding Carbon today, Random reoots GONE!, Black Screen GONE!, Lights Work, built from source.. even notification led working, vibration is broken right now (as in no vive) i think i have it figured out too, but there are more important things that have been fixed...
Hey... Bro... I have been kind_of out... Thanks God with a lot of work...Then .. I'll start on cm12 again.. Makes no sense to go to 5.0 if I don't have 4.4 working correct
Can you set vib.driver value lower for press 300 the long press to 200 ...thats what i did with SQ.lite app changed the values n I got rid of the random reboots and vibration issues . And can u turn off crt in source?Well.. I got to the bottom of the black screen and reboots.. The vibration driver used in boardconfig.. Build without everything works great
... Build with tspdrv.. And behold. The vibration works better because I added Imm_timed output driver to kernel. Buy black screen and reboots would return.. So for now vibration is completely off limits.
well iam going to try to mod the alternate tspdrv used in the ROM for timed output like I did with the kernel and see if it worksCan you set vib.driver value lower for press 300 the long press to 200 ...thats what i did with SQ.lite app changed the values n I got rid of the random reboots and vibration issues . I have not tried either yetRom is nice and smooth.
can you use link2sd with this rom or do you have to use the sd hack
No problemJust installed link2sd and all seams to be working fine with it.
Thanks for the rom
Sure.. Its tricky to edit /etc/snd_soc_msm/ in that folder .. As far as tweaking individual items.. I am not extremly familiar yet@Dm47021 Thanks a million for building this ROM. I might have never discovered the insane awesomeness of Carbon Rom otherwise. I've tried almost every aosp 4.4 ROM in existence on my nexus7 and IMO carbon puts them all to shame especially cm11.
Also, can someone tell me how to tweak the volume levels? I've seen talk of editing a sitar file? I can't seem to find any posts that show the path/to/the/sitar_file. Some help with this would be awesome.
Thanks man. I guess I'll have to go digging through this thread since I'd just be taking a shot in the dark without knowing what changes to make. I'm pretty sure someone was able to increase the in call volume slightly by editing it. Thanks for your help. Just finding it is half the battle.Sure.. Edit: I just noticed that it isn't even part of the ROM. No wonder I could never find it I was looking inside the system folder.
Speakerphone yes, Bluetooth no.Page 19, post 459 shows which lines to edit with Notepad++
I am assuming the line numbers will be the same but since this is a new rom/build it may be off. Just pay attention to the headings that you modify.
Also, please let me know if speaker-phone and bluetooth work with the newest build.
Thanks,
I stand corrected. I found it in /etc outside of the system folder but I guess /etc is symlinked to /system/etc so there are two different paths to the same file.@ Masterchief87
I am not knowledgeable enough to debate that, but I know it is a file that is flashed with the rom. And flashing the previous Carbon rom (as well as any other CM11 rom) resulted in low call volume. Tinkering with the sitar file can fix some of the sound issues. When I use the KK Port, Dana, or Xperion there aren't any of the sound issues.
Too bad about the Bluetooth.
EDIT: Look in the zip at ...\system\etc\snd_soc_msm
