Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

Thanks so much for the rom. great work. got it working today after 3 days of trial and error! A couple things I was wondering if you were going to add.

I can't use the quick button even if I set it to something through settings, the volume button doesn't work, and the home key does nothing either. Also notifications for FB, email, and texting doesn't show up. Other than that I do like the rom a lot.

Sorry bro, I'm not gonna be able to help you with that. I can only fix an issue if I experience it myself and everything seems to be working for me. If you look at post #2 those were issues I fixed that were reported by others that I also had.

3 days of trial and error, maybe something went wrong during all that.

You can try reinstalling the rom if you like. Do make sure to be on firmware 12b before installing this rom.
 
All mobile browsers suck. Google Chrome sucks the least, despite pushing 100mb(!) in size even after clearing it's cache :D

Chrome works best, stay far away from Mozilla.

Oh, ROM looks good GT!! Gonna have to prep for this one. I'm assuming this is done with same 2ndinit process (edit) as the LG Motion?

I needed the upgrade to have a phone that would be able to access the T-Mobile network. At least this is what MetroPCS told me. It has made a huge difference both in access and speed so far. So, I guess what they told me is true! :D

I just realized that I got a gonzo router. I'll replace it tomorrow. But, I wonder what, if any, corrupted data might have found it's way into my desktop, laptop, and phone?

EDIT: Since "F6Utilities2" has to download a recovery, I'll have to wait until after I've replace my router before installing CWM.
 
I'm noticing some bugs in the ROM.
1. Sometimes the mobile network signal icon works properly, sometimes it doesn't. It will have A white background and not show bars.
2. The apps settings page shows that some of the stock apps are there but are unavailable, showing 0 bytes. I don't know if you meant to remove those stock apps but I will need them. Like MyMetro.
3. In System Settings pressing the menu button has an option for tabbed view which I like (similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4). When in tabbed view, your Settings additions (CWM, Nova Settings) are not there.

This does not mean that the problems ended up fixed. Just saying that I used the updates after installing the ROM, but there are these problems. Please let me know if you are going to work on the ROM more GameTheory.

Sorry I don't think I can help you with your 3 issues...

1. I'm not having signal icon issues.
2. Those apps were bloatware I removed. If you need them you'll have to get a hold of them and add them in yourself.
3. I never knew this phone had tabview for settings. Doesn't seem like tabview supports adding my extra settings.

You can also try going into recovery and "wiping cache" and "dalvik cache" to see if that helps. That's all I got for ya.

Just letting you know so that your not waiting around for an update or making continued inquiries about it.
 
apollo player sukcs dnt use it it never wokred for me and when it does play the audio sounds garbage i use maven player to me its the best better then distortioned power amp MAVEN - APKTOP
 
Haven't downloaded it yet but I will this weekend when i get my phone thanks for this nice looking project I have the motion but my sister has a spirit and damn I just love the fact that you get stuff done quick and when you release stuff its a final with no glitches plus you even updated them my sister was telling me I don't know why I'm so lucky to have the same device he gets thanks for making my android experience So Much Smoother Bloat Free and Tweaked out system (think she meant kernal) for snappy app switching and 100% smooth multi tasking . She hates all the bloat ware and thanks to your kernal she was able to delete a bunch of crap now only the apps she uses show up since those are the only ones that are installed :D

I had a request that has nothing to do with this rom and I'm sorry to ask but since your like the friendliest person I know on these forums I figured I'd give it a shot would you happen to know where I could download adaway/addfree or maybe happen to have one that you could share with your fellow all things root member I would Google it but I don't want to download a virus or anything of that sort and when I come across one its not the latest one to date


Once again thank you very much for the work you put in for these devices I personally am slow at understanding all that stuff so I'm really glad such a generous guy is doing all this stuff for us non techy people still can't figure out how a one man army could be creating marvelous looking roms darn lg with their greedy as couldn't even give one software upgrade for any of their phones from metro (as of yet I hope they will in the future) what you have done is really impressive and shows what kind of a person you are to mod tweak/customize the entire os all this quality and perfection for free it makes me furious when I read comments from people talking trash about you or your ROM when your work has no flaws or glitches and when there is one its the tiniest thing like color of some text in one app that no one uses :D you customize everything and by your self so I am really amazed how I haven't ran into anything at ALL the only thing I can complain about is the fact that you aren't teaching us all your majic but then again it does feel good to sit back and relax while the man (GT) does all the work free of charge if you ever need some Google play credit let me know I'll buy a gift card and pm you the redeem code
 
Hey, thanks for fixing the clock, didn't have a chance to log on and mention it. I use alarm clock plus anyways, but I was interested in the timers. Anyways, here now and been using it since the day after it released. Definitely like it and not really any problems. I do have two little issues/questions. 1st, how the heck can I make a folder in the nova app drawer? I see no menu options for it, and you can't drag an icon on top of another because it goes straight to putting it on the homescreen.
And the other one...I know it's your baby and you made it but...is there any way I can change that xperion wallpaper on the settings pages? I have dark clocks and widgets and wallpapers (and love the black and white dialer) and then I go to change a setting and its BRIGHT WHITE SCREEN all of the sudden lol.

I'm trying to flash this ROM to my phone. I booted into recovery, made a back-up to the SD card, and did wiped the memory/factory reset the phone. Then when I went to install the zip, my phone could not find it. I tried booting it up to see if the factory wipe had erased it, and it will not fully boot, saying that "Unfortunately Home has stopped" I tap OK, but it keeps coming up. I boot it back up into recovery by hitting Volume Down and Power, and try to restore the back-up, but it's not there.

What should my next move be?

EDIT: I've tried rebooting it from recovery again, and now it won't reboot without saying "Root access is missing. Root device THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE." with options for No, Yes and Go Back. I chose yes, and no it won't load past the LG logo on the boot-up process.

EDIT: Now it's not even booting into recovery. Also, when I try to plug it in to charge it says "file battery_charging_06.png is missing..." and then the battery percentage if that helps any. What the heck did I do to this thing?

I've never added folders in the drawer, but go to "nova settings" then click on "drawer groups" and you'll see a tab for folders. That could be what your looking for.

If I make the Xperion BG darker then you wont be able to see the dark font obviously, so it will remain a light color.

You should be making your backups to external sd and when you restore the backup you have to select to restore from "external sd". If you placed the rom zip on the external sd then in recovery you should select to install from "external sd".

External SD? Like popping a new one in, backing it up on that and popping the old one back in to flash the ROM?

EDIT: OK, I've got it to boot back into recovery. I tried looking into both restoring from SD and from External SD, and it says neither can be mounted. Is there a way to make it so that it can be mounted? Is there a way I can flash a stock ROM or something from my PC?
