Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] [ROM] [F3] Xperion ROM *Updated 2/13/2015*

This isn't directed at anyone specific...

Please do not troubleshoot Freedom kernel in this thread so that this thread is not thrown off topic. Freedom has a thread of it's own and that's where anything to do with it should be posted.

This thread should remain for Xperion related posts.

Yeah the whole Freedom stuff did kind of out of control a bit and that should go in the freedom thread. Btw this rom is just awesome. Just fix up a few bugs and then it will reach perfection :) And if you can make themes for this like the f6 that would be awesome and greatly appreciated!

Yes very smooth and great considering its only stock rom! Next time I flash firmware its going to be the metro pcs one on my t-mobile f3 just to make sure this rom runs perfectly :D But I'm not bricked (yet) so not now

I didn't make any themes for the F6, unless you're referring to the backgrounds I made for that phone.

If you are then I also posted those in the F3 Xperion page of my site at the bottom where all the links are. There's like 3 or 4 settings backgrounds to choose from.

My mistake, backgrounds I guess cause it said themes on the bold text on your website, but the link says backgrounds, my bad. But your saying the backgrounds for the f6 work for the f3?
 
Uh, for the record I'm a themer. I'd be happy to cook up a few for this rom. It will take some time, I work a lot, but I'd be happy to make a few...

Well actually I was wanting deodex to change notification icons with rtp but i will do it myself. After I mod though can i reodex and keep the mods. Thank you for making a rom for us btw you are the best . Now if hroark would finish cyanogen for my f6 I would be in business.

How hard would it be to port hroarks cyanogen to our f3?

Yes, whatever I list on the Xperion F3 page of my site is for use on the F3. There's 4 system backgrounds to choose from.

Thanks these are really nice, I especially like the rainbow one. And also brotherswing your work is just amazing for what you did with the cm7 if you can make some themes for this that would be awesome :) As for porting the f6 kitkat to f3, it will take a while but it could be a solid foundation and probably the closest thing we get to kitkat, but the t-mobile/metro f6 has to get kitkat first since only the european one has it.
 
Wow these are really cool! I can't wait to try these out. Btw just asking how much effort does it take to create these backgrounds, cause I think I might want learn how to make some myself.
 
I have a quick question if you don't mind explaining. I'm curious to know how did you (GameTheory) manage to make a rom for this phone? I thought the F3 had a "locked bootloader" or something like that? I mean, early on when this subforum for the F3 started, ppl started complaining about how there wouldn't be a rom for the F3 for a LONG time, but now you've already made one.

The bootloader is still locked, but I'm getting around it using loki patch. You can read how it works HERE.

Btw GameTheory I need your opinion on this: if the f6 gets the official 4.4 update (the european one has it so the us will probably get it), will it be possible to port it to the f3? You have the f6 and made this for the f3 so I thought you might know something about it.

It's not possible. App-hdpi is different and also some hardware.

Oh so I guess we can't cheat and just take from the f6. We need to keep going trial and error and eventually I am predicting ~1.5 - 2 years we will be able to get kitkat or whatever L is, I think its 5.0
