Root [MetroPCS] [Unofficial] MetroPCS S4 Root Information Thread

HI, Another question for you, I did try the cyanogenmod rom, but just couldn't get my head round it. What about the virgin Rom, or the Danvdh-ge-4.4.2 rom. Will I need to install a modem or anything else as these are international roms, and that seems to be the only difference in the models, ( I think I know what i am talking about, but who knows???) I looked up the differences in the models.
I hope I am not boring you with these questions, but you seem to be the go to person,with the knowledge

As long as the rom is for the Tmobile S4, you wont need to flash a modem. I suggest you try the roms you're interested in...practice makes perfect.

Ok so I'm on a i9505 kit kat touchwiz rom but my data speeds are extremely slow. So I'm assuming I need to be on the metro pcs APN based on my cyanogenmod experience. But when I go to change it I only have one option if you can see the picture. So I need to know how to get on the fast.metropcs.com apn or whatever its called.

Ok well I went back on a cyanogenmod rom to check if my data works on there but it is also very slow on there too so I really need some help. Paid the bill on the 11th and I know I haven't run out of data that fast.
 
Hey I just got this phone like 3 days ago I had the lg motion rooted with custom rom and what not but it started to mess up after some time I was wondering if I could get some help for my gs4 like best way to root , good reliable every day roms I could get and what not I don't want to mess this one up pm me plz if u can help

The first post of this guide has most of what you're looking for. Good roms, root methods and recoveries with directions. I'm not familiar with the LG Motion but most of the process is probably sort of similar.
Root the phone, flash a recovery, then flash a rom.

Look over the first page and read through the important info part. Skip the stuff you already know.

So my data problems I had earlier were solved. I woke up one day and I had the good speeds as usual even though they told me I ran out. Now my speeds are back to being terrible as before but I didnt get a message saying I used it all up. Any ideas why this is happening?

Could be they are working on some towers and stuff in your area. Its hard to say. My plan is unlimited and my connection is fairly consistent in my area.

Alright so it's been a little over a week and my data is still slow like I ran out my plan. So I need some suggestions on how I could fix this. This didn't happen until I got on this rom by the way. I have the correct APN settings too. I know you said it could just be the towers but for some reason I feel like it's not.
 
Sorry, I really dont know what to tell you about your data speed. You are the first to post about thus issue. Are you using Cyanogen Mod? Why not try another rom and see if the speeds improve for you?

Im on a rom called goldeneye rom or something like that. But I went back to a CM rom but it was still slow too.
 
Have you tried a custom touchwiz rom? I would be curious to see if you see the same lag. When did you first notice your speed lag?
 
Right now I'm running Echoe ROM KitKat v20 which is an International TW base ROM without any lag of signal at all. I'm on old Metro bootloader MF2 with MF2 NON-HLOS and Baseband FNB4 from T-Mobile.
