It's working for me. KnockOn is not worth an update if your having problem. I use framaroot and kingo.

Still a no go.. maybe i'm doing something wrong? heres what i did.
1.i upgraded to 12B through OTA
2. factory reseted through settings
3. installed framaroot.apk here
4. put "installSu" and Gandalf.. it just closed with no warning such as a force close
5.turned on debugging mode
6. ran Kingo... and it failed

Hmm you just try kingo once or a couple times cuz smart said he did it a couple times to get it to stick I tried on LG software first and it didn't work so then I.tried on ptp and it did

Update through the LGMobile Support Tool on your pc. OTA update usually don't work on rooted device.

Yes i tried it multiple times with PTP

@@@Trevor. .. i haven't got the update. .. im in Central Florida... bit if u using Android tuner make sure u go to task click on the X under penguin (kernal) make sure does apps or bin files may hav the red X. Cus it could be killing the process. Like with the hostapd for tethering.

6. ROOTING THE F6 And Recovery. under our root section. (i think everyone is skipping this. Run you F6 root it will install supersu but fail to root.)
6. ran Kingo... it takes about 2min but it will finally root device.

what version of framaroot? Nevermind.

It wouldn't root my phone in PTP mode, so I put the phone into LG Software mode and it came up as "Odin" in red text not "Normal" like in PTP Mode, hit the button and bam 2 mins later rooted... 35 minutes later had my old setup back as if it never changed. Didn't hard reset either..
