Help Micromax A70 General FAQ and Discussion

I need swype. can anyone lease provide me. it got deleated by mistake. and moderator of forum also removed it from swype thread. please help.
 
does only I have this problem or everybody is suffereing from same PROBLEM? sensors are not working perfectly as it should work and I m not able to play any sensor based games. I have purchased a new one n from starting I thought a70 must not be having sensors.bt I have came to know it has all the required sensors. den y m I not able to play this type of games? sensor is working bt not perfectly. means during turns sensors work after turn is completed. it is very laggy.

any help would b appreciated.

Edge connection???
It is very difficult to upload it without failures.
Use mediafire or multiupload.

You can change bootanimation by pushing bootanimation.zip file to /data/local/ directory using adb
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local/
or u can copy bootanimation.zip to that directory using Root Explorer.(root access not needed to change bootanimation)
For boot logo,I think u need to modify bootloader/boot.img file.
 
i rooted my phone + installed root explorer.now please tell me how to remove these useless apps like mi roamer,saavan,money control etc.do i need to directly delete?or do i need to give any permission to get uninstall option?

Use titanium backup for easy removal of those apps.

Run Z4ROOT as a normal app and it will ask you for temp root or permanent.Select permanent here, the phone will restart and u will get superuser app in apps list.

For clockwork mod. install ROM MANAGER from market, Run it and select flash clockwork mod recovery, it will download the files(Time to download depends upon your internet speed) and will restart upon flashing. Now to go to clockwork mod recovery hold the POWER BUTTON and VOLUME DOWN BUTTON while powering on your device. It will start with recovery now. Select BACKUP & RESTORE, in that you can backup your current ROM.
The backup will be saved in the folder of CLOCWORKMOD in the root of your SD CARD.. .. .. .. ..

in rom manager select reboot recovery and see if it boots up to recovery or not ....
before this step have backup of apps by titanium baackup
if fails then try reflashing the recovery again from rom manager

Or u can use fastboot method directly widout this one.
fastboot never fails.
superb tool
 
then u need to install recovery through ROM manager only,
if it fails do it again and again.
and yes as sam said boot into recovery using rom manager
 
Guys I miss those small text selection handles in messaging for test selection (as you have in opera mini) that I had in my previous phone any one got a way of getting them here!
 
do micromax service center will be having the kernel for this mobile. I have a friend of mine who is working in Micromax. Can we get kernel with his help ???
 
No they won't have kernel src but they will have tools to flash stock rom and maybe the update zip of a70 which maybe use full for us
