Root Mobile HotSpot Problem

on my EVO running mikg3.11 i keep having this problem. If i use the tether function to give my pc internet anfter a while there will be an error that pops up saying that i am not supscribed to mobile hot sport through sprint. why am i recieving this on a custom rom?

weird, never heard of this issue. try either wiping dalvik cache and cache or wipe the caches and re-flash the rom. do not wipe data or system. it might work.

have you tried the wireless tethering app?

try just wiping dalvik cache and cache first. if that does not work then wipe dalvik ccahe and ccahe and re-flash the rom. do not wipe data or system. you will not loose any data or your setup. however, any themes or mods you have added will get wiped.
 
If you reflash your ROM and you have a Custom Kernel you will need to reflash Your KERNEL as well. The ROM will overwrite it with the kernel it has.
 
I thought this rom had the wipe built in to it and you would be set back to square one with it?
 
Yep, its easy to forget MikG3.11 wipes DATA among other things for you.

I really wish he didnt include that but I can see why he did.

Looks like I deleted my non-wipe version of MikG3.11
 
Are you using the factory tethering app or CWM tethering which has no monthly charges? check out the youtube video in the clockword mod app and it says something about sprint not working anymore (or something about sprint and tethering).
(and I don't know anything about your custom rom).
(or any ROM for that matter)
 
MikG has the hacked sprint hotspot in it, so chances are he is using that. I prefer the sprint one to other apps on the market
