Root [MOD] LG Esteem 720p @ 30FPS (UPDATED 9/5/12)

Decided to give it one more try, Wiped cache, dalvik and even fixed permissions just to make sure everything was kosher. Nothing.

My head is going to explode If I don't just walk away. haha
 
When i try to copy the unzipped file to system/app it gives me a message telling me it cannot complete that the file is a read only.(root explorer) and when i try installing the file from the folder out says not installed. I had to flash it to make it work but can any one tell me why it wouldn't let me copy it to system/app?
 
I guess I'm the lucky one. I manually replaced the camera app and rebooted. Still worked too. I did this after I flashed #2 1.9.1

Because you have to change the permissions. If your using root explorer it's at the top right. Says rw or ro.

The fact that more people have it not working than the people that have it working worries me. I don't see the ROM affecting the app.

Just makes no damn sense. Lol
 
im thinking if you flash the theme and it works check the build.prop and compare it to the original #2 and see if its a different. I tested it on LD ICK 2.0 theme and was a no go and i even altered the build.prop with no solution, so im just trying to pin point the problem. :smokingsomb:
 
I got it working!!!
As I said before, I had the error with the stock camera for a bit. It eventually resolved itself.
So did this. I think the solution is just to install it, and if it doesn't work, leave it alone for ~12 hours.

your right i left it alone all day now i tried it bc you posted leave it alone anf it workd now huh. I have ld ick rom pleague kernel and oc 1500

Wait a minute it all makes sence. u have to take ur battery out for 30 sec and then the phone reboots automatically. i remember now. i let my battery die charged it turned it on looked at the postings tried it and now it works. u have to take oit the battery so the phone reboots naturally.

Haha. This thing is crazy. It's like it has a mind of it's own. It just wants to start working when it gets damn ready to. Haha

Well Im going to try and install it and just leave the damn thing alone and see if it decides to start working at some point during the day.

This is the craziest routine I've ever done to install an app. lol

INSTALL DIRECTIONS

-First you gotta draw a pentagram around your phone.
-Download and place the app on your SD card.
-Start chanting some strange Indian culture chant while Installing
-Reboot.
-IMPORTANT STEP HERE
-While the phone is booting up you MUST rub peanut butter on yourself.
-After it boots back up go about your normal day
-The Mayans predicted that your Modded Camera App will start working EXACTLY 12 hours after Install.
-If it still isn't working go back and replace peanut butter with Mustard and try again.

That's it. Enjoy your new 30fps camera mod. Wasn't that easy?
 
No prob thats wat i did bc if i remember correctly wuen u take out the vattery and wait and put the battery back on it reboots the system.

The mod failed, like everyone elses... so I flashed the Modundo posted on the OP - still "failure to extract frame".
I then had to do a CWM restore to get my video cam working again.

I even tried these instructions. (Well, to a degree... sorta - I was out of peanut butter, so I used jelly instead)
