Root [MOD] LG Esteem 720p @ 30FPS (UPDATED 9/5/12)

For those who weren't fortunate enuff to get this up and running and/or still cant see the difference between what they think is 'exceptional' stock recording vs 30fps...try this....open your camera app, press record to take a video and move your camera vigorously or turn in a circle....notice the choppiness and motion blur that follows....now go back as is if to take a new video but don't hit the record button...move your phone around and pay attention to how smooth it is....that's what 30fps looks like ppl...purty aint it?

if u can't see the difference then just walk away from this mod as it won't do u any good to notice the beauty...i think the rest of us all need to figure out how these camera mods are fashioned different then stock and come to a conclusion of whats the main factor in why they arent working for us...all that other side talk is for the birds....I've contacted LG's software dept., I've reached out to various XDA developers and it seems expertise is something we're SOL on....this one is up to us so unless we have some groundbreaking info to share then the naysayers should all stfu unless we're bringing new info to the table on this development... the empty opinionative commentary is getting us nowhere but bumped to the top of the thread list...with that said, find and add something noteworthy. dont add to you post count...make your post count
 
I've got a thought. After re reading the link that was put up I noticed some things within it. Thing is until I find out exactly what was done within the mod, I can't know for sure.

Im also going to try and build the camera from the ground up using the current camera while also adjusting what needs adjusting within the framework which Is where I think the issue is.
 
It Works It Works!! I have found a solution, well at least on my esteem. I got home and played around with the camera and noticed that the recording was working today, after that i got out of the app and higherd the ringer volume all the way since i was home now and not at school but once i went back to check the camera again it gave me the error. So i went back out to lower the ringer volume all the way down and checked the camera and it was working! I tried it multiple times and can confirm this. So can you guys check if this works for all esteems and if this might help fix the mod?? To make things clearer ringer volume up causes error and ringer volume at 0 makes it work!:D

That probably explains why it works for me. My phone is always on Vibrate.:o

now the thing is i heard tht cm9 camera can easily be made to shoot at 30fps with adding stuff to build prop or something im not sure but they say its easy on cm9
 
A brand new member here comes in and solves a problem us regulars and vets have collaborated on and wracked our brains on for 100's or hours combined....Great job New Guy!

lol well theres talk between me and Somemadcaaant about 1080p for the moment no repsonse from yet other than it could be possible but tht he doesnt have an esteem to test the issues and all tht ill keep u guys updated lol
