Root [MOD] LOTS of Build.prop edits!

If that is from just 2 tests don't let it get to you. I've had consecutive tests vary from as low as 800-900 up to 1763.

If this is from the "stage fright" mod it's all for looks and doesn't really help with performance.
 
@cashmonkey well of course its gonna be a lower score, the stagefright mod is just a trick. It does nothing for performance. So I removed it from my build.prop. Stagefright also causes HD video playback to break.

Apples to Oranges.


I could put it back in and you would score over 2000. But its just a trick. Quadrant skips H.264 encoding with stagefright enabled, so it thinks its doing that one test MUCH faster, when really it isnt doing it at all.

...friggin adb wont let me in for some reason.. keep getting permision errors..its worked fine up until now, i can remount, pull, push, nothin...wtf

That has nothing to do with this build.prop Over 600 downloads, and you're the only one to have this problem?

You're doing something wrong, or your computer isn't seeing your phone correctly.

Toggle usb debugging, try charge only, toggle mass storage, just try stuff like that. Even try windows media transfer.

in adb,

do
adb devices

until your phone shows up, toggling those options above.

I have absolutely no problems connecting my phone.

Maybe reboot your computer?
 
no..i was saying i cant use adb to load this...it has stopped working . i had already tweaked most of that stuff and the memory settings, but i wanted to do the scroll.

i was just asking if this had happened with adb to anyone else.

It sounded like u were saying that because u did this, adb wasn't working.
 
sorry, didnt mean to..i didnt notice my abd wasnt workign till i tried to push this.

i dont know why, ive been tweaking my rom for 3 days with adb and now all of a sudden...

I'm on windows 7 and I've had some issues with adb since day 1. It used to take a lot of toggling to get it to work, so I know where you're coming from. I wish I had a foolproof fix for ya, but unfortunately I dont. It seems to be random.

Try adb wireless from the market if you have Wifi. Pretty nifty app.
 
i think its interesting to see how much our processor scores compared to the nexus 1..

if our processor had that same score, the total would be insane.

ive looked through the files a bit (settings, configs, etc) and it seems to me there is ALOT of stuff pulling on the cpu, and at some points its told not to use but 5% of the cpu shares...i wonder why its like that
 
well..actually i think the 2.2 nexus one has jit ...if thats the case, we SHOULD have that same score when 2.2 ota comes down
 
so i used the build promp mod for all the apps to show because i was using birdman and half my apps wont show but question, if i change the build promp settings like the ones from the first post, will all the market apps still show??

I am loving these mods especially the LCD one. Everything looks nicer and typing on the web is so much easier. The menues look great, i love not waiting so long for a phone call to connect. I am super happy with my X now. A vanilla android froyo ROM and this phone will be perfect!!

That's why I love this forum so much. There are so many helpful people here and it feels good to help others out. I have been helping quite a few people since I have really gotten into Modding my phone which really started when froyo leaked for the X.

The only problem I encountered was that the weather animation, that appears above to 4 or 5 day forecast, in Beautiful Widgets does not display with anything but the stock 240 LCD density.
