Root [MOD] *updated 5/9* ICS Style SETTINGS.APK

ctrl F dark_header_dither

Change the height value to around 5.

Only problem is the text is inside of that header. Gotta figure out how to get the text on top.

That will be in the settings app I think.,

This is my final for now. I cant figure out how to make those lines stop short of the side. I dont know what to use instead of "fill parent". Its bed time.

thats perfect :D and to stop the lines just set a specific dip count instead of wrap-content/fill-parent :D so how did you do it?

Very easy actually.

I made the "Line"

Paste the image to drawables/hdpi



Open up Framework res/values/styles.xml

Ctrl F "Dark_Header_Dither"

Change "Dark_Header_Dither" to "Settingsheader"




Thats it. It will call the new image instead of the old image. Havent came across anything else its changed yet.



I tried changing the "fill parent" to 125dip to see where that gets me and it came like this

It went from far left to right just a little ways but it was all the way the outside of the left side.


Should anything else be added? Whats a good value to use?

not sure what a good value would be lol figured just keep trying different sizes untill it fits LOL

This is my final version. I'm quite pleased. I added the battery shortcut and moved the call settings down to personal.

I can't wait to see yours. :D

You changed the names. I thought you wanted it as close to ICS as possible (just curious) :p

My main concern was the layout and the battery. I'm gonna play around with a few more things but this layout is what is wanted. With the one you sent me i was able to crack it open and see how it all works and what not so that was a big help that way I wasn't guessing at what does what.

I could've taught you what it all meant though, no need to trick me into making one for you so you can later dissect it. Lmao, jk fuzzyzle, I couldnt resist.

Lmao. I was about to say. I knew that since you knew the xmls so well that it would be easier to make it then explain it. But i never intended to change it either ;) you know us tweakers ain't never satisfied. :D

So look at it as you taught me something without teaching me something. Lol

lmao, i wouldn't say i know them so well, but i can get around them. im not gonna lie, its been so long since i decompile anything, when i looked at the settings.xml my eyes litterally went blury and i couldnt even read the ish for a few minutes.

i also saw how you moved 'call settings' down, i myself thought the 'DEVICE' are was a little crowded after the fact. i wont blame you for that one.

Lol. That was my exact reason for moving it down. I really don't even use it.
