Root Most awesome weather lock screen escapes me.

History:
Unrevoked root, flashed Recharged and blue lightning theme.

did a titanium backup. (nand backup)

I had to reinstall the rom. Wiped etc. However when I did the second time I did NOT flash the blue lightning theme. I went into titanium to restore. I restored system settings. When I did it appeared that blue lightning was restored even though I didnt flash it.

It was about this time that the weather lock screen started acting buggy.

At its height:







At night the city would be dark and day it would lit. Of course it would tell weather.

I installed sacs-king rom v9. Titanium backup restore settings.

I think I just figured it out. I think. See Im not sure where the weather lock screen came from.


It may have been part of the blue lightning theme or just the standard htc lock screen baked in the stock rom.

Im going to try to flash the blue lightning theme on sacs kindom rom. (actually first Im gonna unzip the blue lightning and look for a lock screen)

thoughts?


I havent flashed blue lightning theme yet b/c I dont know if its compatible with sacs kingdom.

There was a weather apk in the theme zip. Tried to install but no luck.


Bottom line question: Do you have this weather lock screen?? If so please give me your stats. Or if you know how to solve my problem.

Huge red flag here....Titanium backup is not the same as a nand backup. Make sure you have a good nandroid backup saved somewhere if you don't already.

It is isnt it. Ok im 90% certain the awesome weather lockscreen was in the blue lightning theme.

When it opens the moon or clouds zoom forward. Very cool.


HOWEVER I dont know if blue lightning is only compatible with Recharged rom or if its universal. So hunt that down.

The link above is to the Rom but about three posts down its linked to blue lightning. I linked to the rom for the proper context.

Bad news for me. Weather no longer the issue.

Screen cracked so I unrooted and took to Sprint store. No replacement. Back at home and cant root as when I did it went to the latest ota. So I have to figure out out how to root 2.18.000.

Wow is the stock rom boring and ugly. I mean really really ugly. No sense roms on stock.

I have been trying to find that lockscreen since you posted it here and have had no luck. (Going to check out the link you posted above...)

Thats not similar. Thats it. Exactly it. Go to the last screenshot. Identical to mine. See thats why its so awesome.

I wasnt sure but I was guessing it was a city background b/c i was in Chicago.

I think if your in BFE it will have a bfe type background etc.

Ok now I may HAVE to root again. was debating whether to just to stay stock.

Stock is very very stable. No hanging at all. My last rom, sacs kingdom was pretty stable but I ran low on ram often and it hung occasionally. But it was really really pretty and everything worked, 4g, 720p etc.

Now that I know where my lockscreen is....

I'd say root, then flash MikG. Seriously, its more stable than stock (if you wipe and flash properly, of course). Then to get that lockscreen on MikG, don't flash it - extract the apk from the zip, and install it using es file explorer (mik moved that apk to data, so all you need to do is install the city one over the one included in the Rom). That's worked for me with the space view one on themikmik, so theoretically it should work for this one too.
 
If your using up rom space flash dt's a2sd. Partition the card first. You will really only need a gig that should be plenty of space. Would link but I'm on phone
